I never let my guard down for anyone, until I met you. Before we met, I would always hide myself and cut myself off the world. Because of you, I wanted to open myself up to everyone, to be more free. I was happy for once. I no longer felt alone. And then you attacked me for it. You attacked me for being happy. You attacked me for having friends besides you. My grandmother went to the garden market to buy some plants for her yard last Sunday. Unlike her progeny (much to her dismay), she has a green thumb and has brought different flowers and shrubs to bloom in her little corner of Quezon City. Hope is not lost for me, however, as she says, "You're not born with a green thumb, you just need to learn."
