Hispano and Latino aren't the same, please don't confuse the terms. An Hispano or Hispana is someone that has the Spanish language as their matern/patern one. Hispano countries, are the ones where the main and the native language is Spanish. This includes the Latin American countries (except Brazil) and Spain. Whereas a Latino, or Latina in feminine, are the ones that come from latin american origin or descendance. The Latino countries include from Mexico to sounthern Argentina, in la punta Tombo. This includes Spanish speaking countries (hispano ones) and Brazil, that isn't hispanic. While Spain is excluded, since it's European. I know some might think it's "silly" to be discussing this. But if the terms were correctly used and learned, things like the Sofia mistake in Disney could have never happened: Sofía the First, the Princess that airs on Disney Junior was said to be Latina, when she's Hispana since she's the daughter of Miranda, who's Spanish. The reaction was very, very negative. But anyways, soon a new character, Helena of Avalor is going to get added in the show, who is a Latina Princess. I think that they will do this as an apology and I hope that the team will not get confused anymore with the Latino and Hispanic terms. I also want to clarify that there’s a lot of native white Spanish people, some will be 'brown' for being from the gitano ethnicity. Other 'brown' population of the country are this way for coming from American or African countries due to immigration, that i was huge during the start of this century, the reason behind them coming "late" it's mainly because Franco's dictatorship ended with his death at 1975 and with his racism, they weren't allowed to come, persecuted people were gitanos, blacks, homosexuals, jews, republicans, catalanists, etc. Basically who wasn't a white catholic leftist "nationalist" Sorry for history lesson but anyways, but the point is that Hispanics from Spain are white in a majority. Latin America has brown latinos in a majority of their countries, but Argentina as an example, there are a lot of white latinos along with brown ones, is it said that it was for Italian migration in the past, thing that would explain why some have lastnames that sound Italian. But I’m not certainly sure about this, since I'm Spanish and it's noticeable that my historical education was eurocentred. But anyways, in Latin America there's also white people and if you want to talk about Hispanos you are going to add more whites on the list. I hope you don't confuse Latino and Hispanic before this, since it seems by your post that you wanted to refer only Latinos but used the wrong word Anyways, good day everybody and so-so-sorry for this long post.
