Okie I usually try to stay out of this stuff, but hey, letâs get Educatedâą.
First off, @cumslutscootaloo, I agree with your âI donât care about the definition, I care about what happens in practice.â What happens in practice is whatâs important, after all. But âmost feminists are just man hatersâ is generalizing a vast amount of people based on the few you see, probably here on tumblr. I will be the first to admit that this little shithole called Tumblr that we waste our lives on is full of uneducated or misinformed people, but you have to remember that several of them are impressionable young people, sometimes as young as 12, and ranging to about 16. They get their information from who they follow and what they see and believe it because they donât know better. (I donât mean this next part offensively at all but) you are obviously into My Little Pony. So I imagine you mostly follow people with similar interests. Which generally includes young teens and salty men that share your âall feminists are man hatersâ outlook. So you, like the younguns, are influenced by that because most of the stuff you see from feminists is probably the more extreme side. I have no idea what ââkill all menâ movementâ youâre talking about, and vehemently object to your âmodern feminism is just man hating.â If you look into feminism, and the more educated people that identify as feminists, youâll see that feminism, as a whole, is based on equality and what you admit to standing for. I admit that, like with all movements, there are extremists, and they do take it way too far, but you shouldnât hate on a whole group and call us all man haters just because of the small percentage of misinformed followers youâve seen. Instead, we should try to teach them what feminism really is and try to make it better. I could go on a whole rant about how, since youâre a brony, youâre probably a spoiled, obese, 20-something year old virgin living in your momâs basement, wearing a fedora and tuxedo tshirt, getting pissed off when people youâre attracted to arenât attracted to you, and fantasizing about fucking a cartoon horse not designed to be fetishized or even remotely liked by your demographic. But since Iâm against generalizing a person based on what they like or stand for and I donât know you personally, I wonât throw you into the negative category of bronies, even though I know that negative category exists. (I see them daily at my workplace, as I work in a comic store.)
So, to end this unnecessary and unnecessarily long rant, my point is, please donât generalize and hate on all feminists. We arenât all man haters, thatâs just a tiny misinformed percentage. We stand for the same things you do, so donât say youâre against us or anti-feminist, because you obviously arenât. Youâre just anti-misandry, as the vast majority of feminists are.
I do like that you are so outspoken about your opinions though, more people should speak up for what they believe. So good job on that.
