Asked for her? Miss Goldenweek didn’t know anything about that, didn’t know who the little girl was either. “I didn’t.”
There was now a tiny Miss All Sunday in front of Miss Goldenweek.
Miss Goldenweek just stares. Takes a sip of her tea, and stares some more.

“M-MISS GOLDENWEEK???? IS THAT REALLY YOU?!”
“Mister Two—”
SURPRISE clearly written on her face - a weakness reserved only for the (ex-)members she had a fondness of. An unlikely, but pleasant encounter.

WOOPS.
I can smile because you’re my brother.

❝ LOYALTY and devotion lead to BRAVERY. Bravery leads to the spirit of SELF-SACRIFICE. The spirit of self-sacrifice creates TRUST in the power of love. ❞
Crocodile heard the familiar tones of the a younger voice and tilted her head in minor surprise, though her expression remaining ultimately passive and unimpressed, cigar silently smoking in between her teeth; brows furrowed upwards and a slight interest crossed her features unwillingly. She had… not expected to see little Miss Goldenweek ever again. She was under the impression that the girl was at the Spider Cafe with other former employees of Baroque Works.
Golden gaze passed over the landscape, undoubtedly painted by the little artist, and rather than greeting, Crocodile removed the cigar from her teeth with a slow reach of her hand and commented, “You still paint… time does not change people the way ignorant fools like to pretend.”
It was simultaneously an observation and a clear threat.
It was almost an insult, aiming at the very thing Miss Goldenweek held the most dear, and would have been interpreted as one if she hadn’t been so indifferent. The only relationship she held to the older woman was ex-boss and ex-employee — nothing more, nothing less. Yet, seeing she was alright was a nice feeling, a special kind of affection reserved for Baroque Works members.
“I like it”, she stated simply, finger gently tapping against the brush, “Time doesn’t change all dreams, Miss Zero”, a matter-of-fact tone with the slightest hint of dedication, something that had been completely absent before Baroque Works’ fall. She wasn’t relying on orders anymore, a strange realization when standing in front of your former boss. “Time can’t change someone’s color”, and despite her previous words, there was agreement with Miss Zero’s words. A started canvas was hard to redo after all, you could only add and try to paint it over.
In darkness and storms I found a tiny ship. That ship PUSHED me forward and told me…
Can you see those lights?
