PJO and Disney-Descendants:
Akina's Kronide AU part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4 | part 5 | part 6
AAAA I have had it, one day I will get back to Percy's relationship with the rest of the Kronides, but today is not that day. Prepare, for I have been needing to ramble about this full insanity for a while, and now I am gonna reveal the chaotic convolutedness and origin of this AU. My full working name of this mess while I haven't thought of an actual book title.
Percy Jackson and Disney-Descendants
Otherwise known as PJD for short. As for how exactly this relates to the Kronide thing... well I was wondering how on earth it was at all possible in Disney's Hercules that Zeus and Hera have a loving and healthy relationship. And Zeus being a loyal husband rather than the fuckboy we all know. Also the non-spiteful Hera's still wild.
A simple answer, a Zeus raised by Percy, God of Loyalty. Percy, who did his damest to be a role model for him and the other Kronides to not treat others as 'lesser than' simply because they did not have as much raw power. Who raised them with more modern morals, treating everyone with respect and kindness unless the other had done something to desrve not being treated in that manner.
Their sibling that they all looked up to was the personification of Loyalty, and thus none of them would dare make a vow for a loyal marriage and break it with Percy in mind. Percy taught them to respect men and women, and in a marriage especially, that is a declaration of being equals, to being there for one another, to never leave the others side for they complete each other. (All these were such unique concepts and outlooks in that time period, that it turned many titans and old dieties to their side actually, but that is for another post, another day.)
So, notably absent from the Olympian council is Dionysus because, if you know how he came to be, yeah. Athena genuinely was just born from Zeus' head, he was never married to Metis and thus never ate a Metis who was pregnant with Athena. Apollo, Artemis, and Hermes were all be Hera's kids, though their nursemaids are the Goddesses/Titanesses who originally gave birth to them in our/PJ myth (Leto and Maia respectively). Ares and Hephaestus are still obviously Hera and Zeus' kids, though a notable thing here is that Hera never forced the marriage between Aphrodite and Hephaestus.
"But what about the coup that Hades threw in the Hercules movie? How does that make sense based on this?" Oh, buckle up cause for that we need to delve into the insanity of the ancient chaos I made... might be its own post now that I think about it because of how long it is.
Anyhow, current Olympian line up as of Descendants era:
Here's the thing about the council though, only 6 out of the twelve know Percy. One more has heard of Percy without having a name to a face and the like. The rest do not even know about Zeus being the Seventh born and not the sixth.
To previous part 《 To Masterpost 》 To next part
(Note: I am very much ignorint the Hercules tv series though. Partially cause I haven't watched it, the other reason cause WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU MADE HECATE AND NEMISIS DEMIGODS AND ANTAGONISTS wfodgekehrkshfdk they are a titaness and full-fledged goddess thank you).
i like percy x annabeth because despite what people assume. this is not dumb x smart or powerful x normal or something like that. they're both actually pretty similar. both very strategic, impulsive etc.
the difference between them is annabeth's plans are wild because she has absolute confidence they will work. percy's plans are wild because he has zero confidence that anything else will work. fundamental difference, says a lot about both of them, thank you hit post
WHY ARE SO MANY OF THE NEW SOFIA THE FIRST FICS AI-GENERATED?! I NEED THE INSANITY THAT IS SOFIA'S ADVENTURES COME ON! Especially the ones set for Royal Magic that acknowledge the protector thing overtly... or correct the thing that's going on with James school and maintain Amber ans James' character arcs from the previous series--
A twin argument between Fable and Legend, but pulling the older sibling card is harder because of time shenanigans
I have made a timeline with duration of Legend's quests, and from that a random joke was born:
(Particularly with the thought that Fable was born 2 minutes earlier)
Legend: Alright, all these are sorted, signed what could be, comments for revising on the other, and outright reject to the left.
Fable: Hey you took from mine!
Legend: Payback for overworking yourself, idiot.
Fable: I'm older than you by 2 minutes, I can handle some of your workload to not overwhelm yourself when you get back!
Legend: And I'm older than you by 2 years. I can handle it just fine, Elle.
Granted, normally I go by Legend was the older twin to begin with, but this was a really funny argument that I thought of, when time fuckery is brought into consideration for a Fable that was born before Legend one.

Mary: book smart; she has the most stable education and we see that she was good enough to get onto the spelling bee, so she is likely best at memorization learning that is most encouraged in school and is good for tests. She probably had a very artsy english teacher one year that she hated because they kept telling her that her essays were "too clinical, you need to express better what you truly mean" and thought the whole thing was bullshit if there is no direct right answer.
Billy: puzzle smart; he is a reporter so he is good at drawing connections from a bunch of facts and seeing patterns. If he went to school I think he'd be good at word problems in math, but still struggle with the formula stuff. I also think he would like social studies (its like history for people outside of Canada) where the point is to find connections and figure out the driving forces, he probably wouldn't like the formulaic structure of essays but would do great with presentations and just yapping at his teacher if they are chill (shout out Mr. B!)
Freddy: actionable smart; he is more act first, but I think that leads to him being the most common sense oriented. He does a thing, sees what happened and reacts accordingly. He learns best with hands-on learning and does great on labs.
In summary:
[trying to open a chest]
Mary: lists off common lock combinations like a year important to them
Billy: connects it to the many photos of a child in the house so they need to find out that kid's birthday
Freddy: jiggles the lock that is so old it easily snaps off, no pass code needed
They all think that they are the smart one. Its like the thank god I'm the only sane one.
Freddy thinks he is the normal one because he doesn't have the Batson disregard for silly things like your own mortality when they have their mind set on something as Freddy desperately tries to stop them from accidentally killing themself.
Mary thinks she is the normal one because she was raised in a mostly stable environment so she has some basic knowledge on life stuff that the other two never learnt.
Billy thinks he is the normal one because he is not on the edge of committing violence the way Mary and Freddy are as they argue with everyone about everything.
Marin's Thoughts on Zelda|Ellie (aka Fable in the future) before ever meeting
Legend definitely said nothing about the royalty. But, he does have various stories about him and his sister sneaking out. In addition to sharing about what he's explored, he shares about his sister as a person. Of course there's hints on the separated at birth and that they're fairly wealthy that Marin's learnt, but she rather enjoys seeing Link happy and talking about his family. From these stories, well here, read for yourself:
Marin - Your sister seems like a really caring person. Despite being separated at birth, you two are still close. I wish I could have something like that. She also sounds like a lot of fun! Hey, Link, teach me how to spar too, I'll make sure you don't sound like a dying cuckoo on the ocarina and any instruments in return! (Link: "I do not sound like a dying Cuckoo!" Marin: "What was that? The sound of lying on the waves?")
Wrote this because I started thinking more on characterising Marin and I could not imagine that Legend never mentioned his twin sister to the girl he was planning to marry... this happened.
Tune had a hand in getting Marin (from Koholint), one of the go to people during the war he could go drinking with, getting a good alcohol tolerance before they even met!
So, it starts with Triforce Heroes. Guppy (aka Wind|Tune) teaching a 9-year-old Apple (aka Legend) to drink. Why? He wants to explore the world, and that involves sailing. One thing to know when sailing is that water doesn't stay fresh, thus one must turn to alcohol. (At least that's the explanation they gave Goat. Whether he just really wanted to have someone to give Goat more grey hairs, well...)
During Link's Awakening, as Marin always wanted to travel and explore the world, much like Legend, he taught her about sailing and self-defense. In that sailing includes everything Guppy taught him, especially the alcohol. So the two made it their daily tradition to have a glass of wine together as they watch the sunset. Talking to each other about anything that came to mind, having fun.
When Wind meets Marin during LU, she made a side comment about preferring certain alcohol drinks, but didn't think much of it as there wasn't time to get to know her and watching his baby brother Apple (who may now be older than him, BUT THAT'S STILL HIS BABY BROTHER!)
When he, Tetra, and the crew get dragged to the War of Eras after LU, he unfortunately has to deal with all of them seeing him as a kid and not letting him drink.
All except Marin, who for one, comes from an isolated island where the laws can be summed up as 'if it isn't harming anyone, do whatever' and secondly, was taught by Legend to drink and knows he started drinking at 9 years old, was basically the only person that gave him alcohol after she confirmed he's drank before and is aware of his tolerance limits.
The two drank together in private, and he learnt Marin is really good at mixing!
(He also used the opportunity to get to know his unofficial future(?) sister in law. Time travel's weird.)
And add in the one topic her and Legend cannot see eye-to-eye on no matter what. The one topic where the two have extremely radical stances compared to the other.
A topic that is so personal to both of them that it's impossible to not hurt the other just with their own thoughts and stance of the topic.
Fable hates failed heroes and their predecessors for the suffering that was passed to the next generation (her and Link). Legend sympathizes with them and thinks they should be honoured in spite of falling and failing, because they did what they could.
It especially doesn't help now that they have faces and personalities to put to those past heroes and predecessors.
Fable knows logically why Legend sympathizes with their predecessors. Legend logically understands why Fable hates them with everything that happened to them (and especially him).
But Legend can picture and has thought of, what if he was the one to fall. Fable can't because she was taught to always play the perfect role and make logical decisions to serve the country best.
Aphrodite: ... I will kick your ass in our next spar for that
For context, the previous posts are here: First | 2 | 3 | 4
To begin this post, We have as sample of fthe relationship between Aphrodite and Percy in this timeline where Percy was reborn as a son of Rhea. They both like sparring with each other and working to make the most interesting insults.
Aphrodite once had a crush in Percy, immediately asked him to marry her in fact. Because no one by that point in history had treated her so nicely, respected her words and power, but also did not hesitate to help kick the butt of a being that had been stalking her. The fact he was hot and efficient in dealing with said stalker was a bonus.
Percy declined of course, though did extend an offer of friendship to her. Something pretty non-existent given their world.
They continued hanging out in secret (why this was in secret shall once again be continued in a future post) and gradually became somnething akin to each others closest confidants.
(A/N: Out of order, really should ramble about the other Kronides first, but I have been dying to share this bit for a while now, and so, I have given in and boom. This is now out there as I continue drafting my ramble of Percy and the rest of the Kronides' beginning relationship in this AU)
[Read the beginning here, or the previous part here]
Percy with Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon
- After being freed by Zeus (Percy was making a distraction to clear their route of escape) the previously eaten Kronides meet/reunite with their mom in a hug.
->Zeus and Percy watch from the side, Percy ruffles Zeus's hair to congratulate him for a good job while looking him over for injuries. Zeus rolls his eyes as Percy's worrying that he's hide an injury, but also thanks him, telling Percy he wouldn't have been so successful at pulling it off if it wasn't for Percy's help.
- Rhea introduces them to their siblings
-> They are surprised they have 2 siblings, they thought there was only one because of the single rock.
- Introductions happen, Rhea has to take her leave to do damage control and prevent most of the titans from finding the 7 of them
-> Percy accompanies Rhea to the edge of the island, and Rhea asks him to look after the 5 for her and help--
-> Percy cuts her off before she can finish, telling her that of course he will, they're his siblings afterall. He'll look after and train them.
- The next couple years pass by, with Percy looking after them and making sure they don't draw too much attention to their hiding spot
-> Funnily enough, Percy makes an active effort to be mindful of his language with the 6 and acts responsibly, treating all they come across with respect
-> Make no mistake, he still has the insults and blunt observations, but he makes sure to keep it mental/internal. Why? Well, look at the future. He hopes maybe he can ensure that the lot will treat all beings, be they mortal or immortal, with respect regardless of status. Basic respect and decency is lacking in this pantheon, and the 6 look up to him. Hopefully this will save others from the absolute sticks in the mud Gods he knew growing up.
-> No worries though, there are beings with whom he can release that commentary with.
- With Zeus, it was certainly a transition. He was not happy from being his older brother's only focus to suddenly splitting said focus amongst 5 others. Training may hurt a lot, but Percy and his attentive care have been his only constants throughout life. It did get resolved, but not without punching Poseidon in the face.
- With Poseidon, he and Percy spent a lot of time at the beach and the waterfall and lake of the island. He was the first of the trapped Kronides to unlock his powers, likely domain over some form of water.
-> Percy made sure to always call him Po, or if it was a scolding it would be syllabicated, emphasizing syllables individually. He didn't look much like his original father in the first place... but saying the name of his dad when not referring to him was just weird. And he wanted to do his best to not treat them based on things that had not been done by them (Chaos knows how much it's happened to him, he doesn't want to be a hypocrite, there's enough in this family.)
(A/N this has already gotten too long, so, time to cut here and continue Percy with the other Kronides in another post... dam it I was so close already to rambling about the fighting pair, guess that'll take a while longer.)
There is a coup against Zelda/Fable during Lgend's era planning to dethrone her. Led by Zelda/Fable. Fi is helping plan said coup. Link/Legend is not in the know but nonetheless questions his sister's recklessness. (They are both just as bad as each other, they just never acknowledge their own but rather tell the other off.)
That is all, thank you.
A/N: RUSHING TO CATCH UP TO THE PERFECT POST FOR APRIL 1 BECAUSE I FORGOT TO WRITE ACTUAL CRACK TO POST!
(Ps. Yes this is real for me, but the lack of context when people don't know my mess is fun.)
