7. Share a queer headcanon you love! This question can be repeated, post a different headcanon every time if you can!
For now I'm enjoying reading/exploring wincest/weirdcest through other people's lenses, so I don't have any particular queer headcanons of my own.
It seems almost everything has been already said, so I don't feel like adding anything to it. I have plenty of deliciousness to try already.
However, recently, I'm very much into demon!Dean/Crowley. And the canon interpretation of their relationship just doesn't sit right with me (I won't go into very much why, it's just I generally don't like the 'simping', whoever does it).
One of the things that is turning in my mind box like on a rotisserie is that demon!Dean would be so unhinged and impossible to tame that Crowley would pity the day he'd gotten into the bed with the Winchesters.
Since Dean's soul is there yet everything good is kind of sucked out of it, and all the bad is turned up to the extreme,—anger, envy, lust, hate, loathing—I'm a firm believer that demon!Dean would kill (his own kind too) just for the sake of it. Because it's fun.
He's known how to hunt demons and kill them this all his life; his hate to everything, everyone, and himself is turned up to the max; the Mark makes him ache for violence—and he has access to easy kills right there; and, most of all—he doesn't—fucking—care. And he's extremely bored too.
Demons have no boundaries—they don't ask, they take. And this is demon!Dean with the Mark—he'd fucking do whatever the fuck he wants. Consequences do not exist in his vocabulary. Hell, he's basically a Knight of Hell, isn't he? He is inebriated with the power. The sheer feeling of tearing something to pieces just because. He's now in control of everything. Everyone. Anything. At the same time—he is as unhinged as ever.
Crowley's deflated meat suit is ungracefully collapsed in the King of Hell's chair.
“YOU DID WHAT?!!!” Crowley—or, rather, the chamber full of thick red smog—bellows.
The red smog—Crowley's true form—is sifting through Hell's molten walls to the accompaniment of thunderous reverb and a few hysterical octaves. Upon reaching Lucifer's cell, it twists around, bouncing off and on every crevice, only to shoot up back in a tornado swirl followed by a hellhound howl.
Dean opens one eye, squinting.
“Is this one-man show really necessary?”
Take a guess of what did Dean do, courtesy of my hcs of how would their 'summer of love' would go:
i. wiped out one of the circles of Hell (I like to imagine spn's Hell as the one Dante's described in the Divine Comedy). Why? Because he was bored.
ii. burned ALL the crossroads deals contracts. Copies, copies of copies, copies of copies of the copies. And, of course, the originals. He has all the time in the world, remember?
iii. knocked up ALL the women across the United States (quite a few in Canada and Mexico too) and didn't break a sweat. It's a nation-wide antichrist crisis right now, all hands on deck.
iv. brought a major disruption into the Hell's department responsible for incubi and succubi by organising a month-long orgy.
v. killed a Very Important Guest at the Very Important Meeting because that particular dirtbag has implied that Crowley's patronage over Dean has made Crowley weak. When confronted by Crowley, he'd just say that he got bored of the guy's yammering.
vi. raided Heaven, broke into a few paradises (@dxdiiag you can count he had broken into John's and Mary's), stole a few souls (I headcanon that there's an underground pool where Dean is a regular, but the bets are in human souls; at some point he's forbidden to the Hell's torture chambers, so he has to get creative), and, of course, killed a couple of high-ranking angels on his way. “Because they're are douches, that's why.” Crowley and the current Heaven leader are trying to rectify the consequences. There's a growing tension on both sides, and perhaps, a new rebellion on the horizon.
And where does that leave Crowley? He isn't sure if he wants to strangle him, fuck him, or both. All the fucking time.
8. Do you have a favourite fanfic trope? What is it?
As a reader, I don't really pay attention to tropes because I try to treat a fanfic as a whole, without dissecting it to pieces. Yeah, I'm weird that way, lmao.
If I like the summary and it's my otp/my fav character, I'll give it a go. And if I don't like it, I can just close the fanfic and move on. I even may not look at the warnings XD
It's probably because when studying English, I had to read a lot of unhinged and problematic stuff over a very brief window of opportunity. As you can imagine, there wasn't enough time to react to the squicks/triggers. Suck it up and move on—that is my way™. So yeah, I can read almost anything, actually. And not bat an eye.
But as a fanfic writer... I'm guilty of abusing the 'enemy to lovers' trope. I also very much like the AU (full-on AU and canon-divergence one as well). Unrequited feels. Unresolved sexual and non-sexual tension. Undercover and various substance abuse. Also, gen wrapped in queer/queerplatonic vibes. And, one of my fav ones (but it's hard as fuck to do, so that's why I only did it once), the unreliable narrator.
