Hello everyone; I know I’ve been teasing this deancas fanimation for awhile now, and I have unfortunately been constantly halting the project because of real-life issues that has crippled me greatly–and still have yet to heal from.

What has definitely not helped the healing process is the profound guilt I have over this project, and keeping it away despite having worked on it quite a bit. I still would love to have this project meet all the plans I constructed (having a free dvd/blu-ray release, etc.) but the project has been too incredibly taxing for one person–and all over simple fan art.

So today, I am posting the project at the best cutoff point of it’s completion. I understand that this project was meant to be voice-acted and @amazinmango has been incredibly patient and full of support the entire way, but he also can’t possibly voice every part himself.

If you wish for a part 2 to be possible–I will sincerely need to hear that, and your help for this short to reach it’s completion. 

(I am not asking for payment, but maybe some voice help or help on the art.) Please share this around in the meantime, and I apologize for it not living up to expectations.

Dean can’t take it anymore. Castiel had said he loved him only 3 hours ago, and he couldn’t think of anything else. 

They drank. Drank until Dean thought he’d forget the life almost leaving his best friend’s eyes, but he couldn’t. He loved him. Castiel loved him. 

As Cas reached for the rest of his drink, trying to fill the awkward silence with the cool fizz against his tongue, Dean took his chance. He leapt into him, capturing his jaw in his free hand and guiding his lips to his own, crashing into something he should have done a long time ago.

Far too long ago.

Simple

It was simple. It was so simple. But it flipped Castiel's world upside-down.

As they fell asleep under soft covers, minds drifting drifting drifting like the moonlight over the trees, Castiel whispered an apology.

"I won't be here in the morning," Castiel told sleeping ears, "because I am happy. And I am sorry for that, but I don't regret a moment of this. I don't regret a moment of us."

That is when I will come, the Empty had said, with a woman's face stretched across its ghastly visage.

Yet Castiel woke up the next morning with Dean in his arms.

It took a moment for the disbelief to morph into joy, for Castiel's mouth to trail down to ear, to whisper, "Goodmorning, Dean."

That is when I will come, the Empty had said.

Dean never woke up.
