WHERE DID THEY GO.
(+transparent version for meme purposes.)
Damn that episode was good.
While attempting to track down the issue number of a particular Star Wars comic I discovered that there have apparently been four completely different serialised publications all named Star Wars Adventures, all of which have an issue #3, and it isn't even a Canon-versus-Legends thing because two of those four fall into the Canon continuity. Disney, what the fuck?
Apparently this is a thing Disney does with Star Wars comics fairly consistently. They keep re-using the same titles and resetting the issue numbers back to 1 each time, but they don't include a subtitle or a volume number or anything, so you're constantly running into situations where that are just multiple unrelated issues released as little as a couple of years apart with identical titles and numbering.
Why would you do that?
Main Marvel - who at least since Disney bought them are the ones publishing Star Wars comics - does this a lot too. The way they're differentiated is by the year they began publishing.
Sure, but historically Marvel has typically had the decency not to do it every two years.
Like, I need to emphasise that the Canon continuity has only been around since 2014. There's no excuse for a continuity that's scarcely a decade old to be having these problems already – it's like they're trying to speedrun making their issue numbering scheme as complicated as possible.
You can say that, but I still blame Marvel
