When “pro life” (aka pro fetus) stop acting like 95% of abortions take place during third trimester instead of within the first 6-9 weeks of conception (aka when fetus is literally the size of a finger nail, often smaller), then I’ll listen. When they stop using pictures of week 30+ embryonic growth instead of week 6-9, then I’ll listen (news flash, it looks more like an alien than recognizable human being, if at all looking human), then I’ll listen. When they actually start adopting kids and not just saying “oh yeah…. Adopt!” then I’ll listen. Ok, so let’s talk about the facts. Over 90% of abortions are performed before the 13th week. Now, let’s look at how a fetus develops in the womb. At 8 weeks, babies I’m the womb start sucking their thumbs and responding to sound. There is even building evidence to suggest that they are dreaming!!! But here is where it gets juicy. At 8 weeks, they have been shown to recoil from pain. You do realize what that means, right? That means they have a developed nervous system!!!! At 11 weeks, a fetus has their own fingerprints!!! For goodness sake, open your eyes!!!! They are human beings!!!! I encourage you to watch an abortion being performed via a sonogram. You can actually see the baby scream. It is sickening to think that people are still willing to defend this. People who still defend abortion by dehumanizing the child inside, only dehumanize themselves.

Fetuses do not recoil in pain or scream in the womb. What you’re referencing here is a  pro life propaganda video from the eighties that has been debunked over and over and over again. I seriously cannot believe the amount of pro lifers I encounter on tumblr who still buy this shit. According to one of the sources I listed, fetuses do not feel pain until the third trimester and at that point in a pregnancy, an abortion is only done on fetuses incompatible with life or to save the life of the pregnant person.

Ok then, let’s talk logic. Contrary to popular belief, I am completely pro choice. I think where you and me disagree is when the choice is made. Any time you engage in sexual activity, you run the risk of getting pregnant. Any person who is old enough to have sex can understand that. So I just happen to be a person who believes that killing babies isn’t the solution to your poor sexual choices. Logic dictates that if you don’t want flowers growing in your back yard, you don’t take a packet of seeds and spread them around in your back yard.

You can’t be pro choice if you don’t support whatever choice a person makes whether it is abortion, adopting out or keep the kid. That’s the point of the choice. If someone cannot and/or does not want to go through pregnancy for whatever reason, then the only option for that is abortion. Abortion terminates a pregnancy. Also, if you are about facts, fact would dictate the baby isn’t a medical term like fetus is. A fetus is a fetus.

Also, that kind of makes no sense because no one is going to grow flowers on purpose just to kill them off. Just like no gets pregnant on purpose just to have an abortion. People choose to grow flowers if they want them, just as a person who is pregnant is making the choice they want to make then whether it be abortion, adopting out or parenting.

To deny that that is a human being is absurd. Human females don't give birth to anything other that human babies, plain and simple. At 8 weeks, that baby had its own blood type and its own genetic code, which is all different from its mother. How is it still considered part of the mother? Just because it relies on the mother to live? We rely on cars to get from point A to point B, but when we are inside of a car, nobody claims that we are the apart of the car. Even though we rely on things like the seat belt and airbags to keep us safe, we don't then say that we are one in the same with the car. Also, when we go to drive a car, we do it knowing full well that we may get into an accident and die. That is why, when we drive, we do everything we can to decrease the likelihood of an accident occurring. What you are suggesting is that people do not hold said responsibility, and can drive as crazily as they want to down the highway. Not only that, but when they do get into an accident, you then turn around and say that they hold no responsibility for their actions. Sure, they may be injured as well, and sure, we can still have sympathy for them, but they got that way of their own poor decisions. Is the correlation clear?
