Stay with Me - Sam Smith
I still recall with great affection the day that I heard this song pouring out of the speaker on my headset and thought to myself, “What a brilliant, brilliant hold song!”

Stay with Me - Sam Smith
I still recall with great affection the day that I heard this song pouring out of the speaker on my headset and thought to myself, “What a brilliant, brilliant hold song!”
When You Love Someone - Bryan Adams
This one goes out to a special guy. Someone who has opened my heart and made me believe in love again.
Burning House - Cam
In life it all boils down to finding the one you would walk too close to the fire to be with. Love is worth the sacrifice.
Long Life to You My Friend - Bliss
When you reach the end of your journey with a friend, you wish them a long life and great lasting happiness. It’s what you do, from one human being to another.
May all your letting go feel this good.
How Will I Know - Sam Smith
Sometimes, when you’re driving down the highway toward a destination, you’re thinking about all the little signs he’s given you that he might be into you. You obsess over it all, and when you get in front of him again, you’re sure you’re going to be much bolder the next time or the time after that. But you just never could be sure with this guy...and you never got any braver. This song has that haunting melancholy feeling of the blues that inevitably come when there are too many question marks in our lives.
Nothing More - The Alternate Routes
“We are how we treat each other and nothing more.”
Beautiful in My Eyes - Joshua Kadison
This one takes me back to freshman year of high school. I may have even listened to it on my discman the last year I rode the school bus. I’m sure this puts a date on me!
Hello - Adele
How can you not love?
Feel Again - One Republic
Inevitably in life our hearts are broken. We take ourselves out of the scene for a period of time to recover, and then that recovery time often feels natural and good to us, so we don’t “get back out there” as quickly as we perhaps ought to do. We spend a great deal of time licking our wounds, and work towards healing. We may even feel ready again but uninspired by the available selection of suitors the universe presents to us. But someone comes along that awakens something inside of us. Chords are struck, a spark is rekindled. We...feel again.
Someone has taken me by surprise and turned the key in my ignition, so when this song came on today, it was absolutely resonant in my soul.
We were on vacation last week, so while there was commuting, it was not for the daily grind. We hope that we did not inconvenience anyone!
Today’s commute features a great by Iron & Wine, which is just a couple of days short of being the perfect song for Halloween. We hope you enjoyed your holiday celebration this past weekend!
You Know Me - Air Traffic Controller
We were lucky enough to discover the band Air Traffic Controller at an outdoor summer concert series we attended a couple of year ago. They’re a little bit rock ‘n roll, and a little bit indie. We love when they crop up on our randomized commute jukebox! If you haven’t heard of them before, check it out!
Too Many Fish in the Sea - The Marvelettes
This one’s for all the single ladies!

*****
Listen here, girls Take this advice, and remember always in life:
Into each heart some tears must fall Though you love and lose, you must stand tall Cause we all got to cry sometimes I said, sigh sometimes Pull yourself together No use crying forever Because there's too many fish in the sea Too many fish in the sea I said, there's short ones, tall ones, fine ones, kind ones Too many fish in the sea
My mother once told me something And every word is true Don't waste your time on a fella Who doesn't love you He'll only mislead you Only grieve you Don't worry about him Do without him Because there's too many fish in the sea Too many fish in the sea I said, there's short ones, tall ones, fine ones, kind ones Too many fish in the sea
Well, if the fish isn't on your line Bait your hook and keep on trying Don't let him get you down There's other boys around Because there's too many fish in the sea Too many fish in the sea I said, there's short ones, tall ones, fine ones, kind ones Too many fish in the sea
I don't want nobody that don't want me Cause there's too many fish in the sea Ain't gonna love nobody that don't love me, now Cause there's too many fish in the sea I don't need nobody that don't need me Cause there's too many fish in the sea I don't want nobody that don't love me, now Cause there's too many fish in the sea
Do You Still Need Me - La Bouche
We always felt that this should have been more of a hit song for La Bouche than it was. Most people remember “Be My Lover” or “Sweet Dreams” when they think quintessential La Bouche. But this little gem made quite a splash in our slow jam pool during the commute this morning.
Downtown Train - Everything But the Girl
Sometimes we wish our commute involved a downtown train.
The Goonies R Good Enough - Cyndi Lauper
The first time I heard this song, I was at the PTA Summer Movie series with my dad and my brother. I had no idea then what a cult classic hit this movie would become. Additionally, I would never in a million years have guessed that a sequel would be in the works over 30 years later.
Wait - M83
Friday is a great day for some mellow simplicity. We hope your weekend is peaceful, dreamy and filled with beautiful music!
Back for Good - Take That
This song comes on and suddenly, it is 1996 again and I’m picking up my friend on the way to high school. She’s in charge of making sure the portable speakers don’t fly off the dashboard when I turn the corner and making sure my Sony Discman doesn’t skip when I hit a bump in the road.
