I have no idea how much I'll actually use this, I just figured I have alot of Thoughts about these little guys and I need to put them Somewhere other than deranged rambles in my friends' dms

hi, call me Luna, they/them, I'm the mastermind behind these characters' torment

all the pkmn irl blogs I currently run are:

@nacrenecitygardening: the blog of a woman named Sasha Ellis and a teenager named Cory. they work at Sasha's gardening shop in Nacrene City, however Sasha's priorities always seem to be.. elsewhere. The truth is far from clear, and not exactly expected. (low-high stakes, drama, on temporary hiatus)

@completelylusingit: the blog of a young man named Lus. he's an aspiring ecologist going to Nimbasa University, trying to move past mistakes. However, something strange has been hunting him. (drama-high stakes, horror, active)

@darktypeofthemoon: a blog run by a rotom on a dying device, documenting the strange new life of its owner Akita. through manners unclear, they've become an umbreon, and now have to deal with the harsh realities of nature. (high stakes, on hiatus)

I tackle alot of dark subjects in my writing, with a focus on emotional distress and forays into violence of varying levels of graphic, including in my art, so while it will be tagged, do be warned.

probably either school or money

while he'd done all the work himself to study and get the certificate and qualify for the college, that's still different from actually being in a school environment and all the schedules and work and bureaucracy. this boy was hardly even homeschooled he didn't know what he was doing, and it was probably quite the learning curve in his first semester

and with finances, while I'm sure Nancy taught him and tried her best, he was scared he was doing the wrong thing or that one bad decision would lose everything, since this was the first time he had his own money and had to make his own decisions with it. of course his living expenses were covered by living in a dorm, and this was aid money for food and class supplies and whatever else, but boy he was nervous about it

//so pelipper mail was the main method for sending items from blog to blog, an in-universe way of explaining how you gave brock a spare pair of converse through a blog. the issue is, pelipper mail is from Mystery Dungeon, and implies sentient pelipper are going around delivering packages. For those of us with more "realistic" worlds with no/very few sentient pokemon, this breaks worldbuilding awkwardly. (Personally, I always viewed it as a parcel company with a pelipper mascot, but once people pointed it out on the dash, I kinda couldn't get that out of my head.)

A while back, somebody pointed out that "hey, there is a way for packages to be delivered in universe, why don't we just reskin pelipper mail to make it more grounded?"

And so, some of us shifted to using that, but there's no way to standardize anything given the nature of the medium and the platform, so choose what you like.

roleplaying dark topics is fine. roleplaying dark topics on your own blog without putting warnings on every individual post is at least easy to click away from. but if you're going to be putting your posts about death and violence and abuse in the main rp tags you really need to be putting content warning tags on those. this is common-sense RP etiquette.

🧣 for lus

Simple as. do they wear any accessories? do they like the feel of bracelets/necklaces/watches on the skin? how do they feel about symmetry? regarding metals, do they prefer silver, gold, or some other color?

he doesn't wear many, honestly. I think he has a bit of a distaste for jewelry, atleast the traditional sort, it's both not his style and has associations in his head with being "feminine", and nowadays he wouldn't want anything around his neck or wrists for Different (trauma) reasons

he Does wear things tho, like his mask, that's just a fashion choice most of the time, though for photos it's for privacy, and he wears gloves like his climbing gloves just for funsies on occasion. he's got his glasses, which he needs because he's blind as a woobat but let's be real they're not hot pink by coincidence, he did that on purpose

generally he lets his clothes be the show, hence his like for bright colours and neat patterns, as seen in the bright orange accented with purple chevrons hoodie he owns

What's their go-to? briefs, trunks, bloomers, another member of Vegeta's in-laws? is the priority warmth, ease of motion, appeal, coverage, lack of coverage, material, or are we free ball/cooch/boob-ing it?

he wears boxers, that's a gender thing for him mainly, atleast that's how it started, when he finally decided he couldn't put up with it anymore and trashed all the panties and briefs he had, but since he's been on T it's also a comfort thing now, too close is not a pleasant sensation with how things have changed down there

he Does prioritize ease of movement ontop of comfort and gender, this guy did parkour when he was physically able to and climbed 10 feet up in trees on a whim he doesn't wanna be restricted, so he did his best to balance the three quadrants

I genuinely think he doesn't mind the idea of something meant for appeal, like lingerie, but that falls under "would this make him dysphoric" and that kinda limits his options

As mentioned before, clothing says a lot about you, so there's a lot of meat here IC and OOC.

💰 Cost

How much does your character spend on clothes? either in raw numbers or proportionate to their budget. In terms of that, do they like to spread their spending on lots of cheap pieces or a selection of pricey items? Where do they fall on the boots theory?

How does your character play into or reject their current gender via clothing. Do they like to express androgyny? If they do, how do they go about it? if suddenly made to put on a dress or a tie, how uncomfortable would they feel?

Has your character ever paid to have their clothes altered? push comes to shove, can they repair a tear? a patch? do they know what a vent stitch is? are their proportions such that they probably should get their clothes altered more often?

🗑 Disposal

When does your character decide it's time to let go of a garment? Do they sell and donate their clothes a lot? how many holes in their underwear is too many? do they hold onto clothes till they're threadbare?

🪮 Grooming

how much time goes into your character's self grooming? how many steps are in their routine. is it self motivated or result of external pressure? do they like to have other people groom them for them (e.g. mani/pedi, spa day, having a friend braid their hair, etc etc.) do they feel weird if they skip their routine?
