so guys, i think preserving history is important, and one of the ways to do this is to share with you this really important and cringy comic I drew when the Adventure Time episode Burning Low was having promos on cartoon network, back in summer 2012

you dont understand… the fandom had been going insane for the few weeks before this episode… it was seen as the Big Fight for Finn’s love… Cartoon Network even used new music and made special promos and had a “finn/pb” vs “finn/fp” timeline vote on their facebook for the best shipping moment…

it was the most frustrating and trolltacular time i ever had in that fandom and i felt like the only beacon of rationality

(i was obsessed with rationality. i was called Kitty the Logic Queen by the wikia. this is why the concept of Being The Most Rational disgusts me so much now)

Haha I’ve been busy adulting I guess. My life has changed a lot since I was a teenager yearning to move out and experience life, and growing with everyone here.I’ve thought about you guys and the fandom all the time though.Tonight I caught back up with the show, and finally logged back on, and it’s made me really emotional seeing everyone here.As the show ends, it feels like I’m finally reading the final chapter of a book in my life that I’d been to afraid to finish, despite my skipping it in order to start the next one.If that makes any sense whatsoever lol

Adventure Time has developed so much, particularly its taste. Seasons 1-2 gave it its charm. Everyone’s nuts over 3-4, kind of groundbreaking I guess. Seasons 5-5.2 is kind of like the experimental era. Then we have Season 6 which has kind of a big difference with Season 5, it’s definitely heavier. I’m kind of anxious, scared, and excited for Season 7.

Adventure Time had many faces and phases. Some fans left and some stuck around. What makes me particularly anxious for Season 7 is the Finnale. It’s like we’re starting anew. All I could think about is “how are they gonna do it?” Adventure Time likes to keep us guessing. Sometimes they wait 2 episodes to answer those questions and some takes us 4 seasons. I know Adventure Time’s not perfect, but you really gotta appreciate how its grown, much like its characters.

I came to another realization right now. We assume that this is one sentence… but I think it is a conversation. The Crown and Finn speaking to one another. Finn is the End and the Beginning, and The Crown is the Hand of Madness.

They were introducing themselves to each other.
