Safe In Your Skin [Open/Intro]
It’s become a habit now, visiting the area where people from all across the multiverse where brought to. At first the visits where rare, just wondering if any of her family members had arrived at the city. Yet as the days went by there wasn’t any sign of anyone Linda knew arriving at the city. Visiting became more out of curiosity other than for the sake of her family. There was so many colorful characters flooding out of those doors almost every day and today was no different. It seems as if someone very interesting had arrived today because the crowd today was a bit larger then usual.
"Hey Scarf, do you see anything that is causing such a commotion?"
The girl was asking her animated accessory Scarf; who was already trying to find the source. Scarf had been hovering above Linda for a while now not really paying attention to things other than the crowd of people.
"Nah kid, but I’ll tell you this, whoever these people are looking at must be a real freak."
Just as Lina was about to answer her freaky friend, Mystique had caught her attention. As Scarf had busied himself searching for the source of the commotion, Linda began talking to it. "Oh hello! Uhmmm… I’ve been here for a few months now! Are you new to the city?" Linda stared at Mystique for a second or two looking at her unique features and cheerfully let out a little comment. "Hey you have really pretty eyes!"
┌Carefully eyes travelled up and down the child, slight concern filling her eyes as she looked both the girl, and the rather animated looking scarf over. Was it just her, or did the scarf feel like it was a living object, all it's own?┘
"A few months?!"
┌Why would they take children for so long. She herself wasn't even out of her teens, but she was at least older looking than the girl in front of her. What about the child's parents or something? Why would the scientists keep people here so long? What did that even serve?! Was it all some twisted form of entertainment?
Her mind quickly snapped free of the racing thoughts. The girl was staring... Part of her suddenly felt ashamed, like she shouldn't have approached the girl. Eyes looked away and to the crowd as if to try and find a distraction. She knew she looked unusual, but the staring never did get easier... At least not until someone actually gave you a compliment...┘
"Pretty...? You really think so?"
┌That had taken her back, as had the happy tone of the girl's voice.┘
"Thank you... My name's Raven."
┌She smiled and lowered herself to meet eye level with the girl.┘
"What's yours?"
