Safe In Your Skin [Open/Intro]
┌Carefully eyes travelled up and down the child, slight concern filling her eyes as she looked both the girl, and the rather animated looking scarf over. Was it just her, or did the scarf feel like it was a living object, all it’s own?┘
"A few months?!"
┌Why would they take children for so long. She herself wasn’t even out of her teens, but she was at least older looking than the girl in front of her. What about the child’s parents or something? Why would the scientists keep people here so long? What did that even serve?! Was it all some twisted form of entertainment?
Her mind quickly snapped free of the racing thoughts. The girl was staring… Part of her suddenly felt ashamed, like she shouldn’t have approached the girl. Eyes looked away and to the crowd as if to try and find a distraction. She knew she looked unusual, but the staring never did get easier… At least not until someone actually gave you a compliment…┘
"Pretty…? You really think so?"
┌That had taken her back, as had the happy tone of the girl’s voice.┘
"Thank you… My name’s Raven."
┌She smiled and lowered herself to meet eye level with the girl.┘
"What’s yours?"
Linda was a big fan of the strange and generally displeasing, if you couldn't tell from the way she dressed. She didn't spend too much time looking at Raven. Linda nodded as Raven responded to what Linda had told her about how long she had been in Hive City. A shrug given with a comforting look was given to Raven as Linda tried to reassure her that she wasn't in any danger or anything. "Yea, a few months, but i have made a few friends here!" Linda eagerly shot her arm outwards to shake Raven's hand to properly greet her.
"Hi! I'm Linda!"
"Think so? I know so! You're very pretty! - Uh, and also naked? Are you wearing body paint, cause it looks super cool!"
It wasn't long till their conversation had caught the attention of Scarf. Turning around to see what the commotion was Scarf was looking down at Linda.
"Linda are you bothering random people agai-"
Scarf's eerie one eyed gaze then fell on Raven, his being much less inviting then Linda's. It seems like his search for the cause of the commotion is over. Scarf's glare was a force to be cautious with, it was as if he was silently examining every nook and cranny of your very being. Unsettling to say the least. It didn't help either that Scarf went as far as to circle around Raven a few times. Although the silence was broken when Linda chimed in. "Oh yea! This is my best friend Scarf!" Linda began to nervously laugh as she watched Scarf investigate poor Raven. "Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks you're pretty huh?"
Hovering back above Linda, Scarf never broke his gaze on Raven, it was a good 3 seconds before Scarf had responded Linda and break his gaze, drawing his attention to Linda. "Yea, one in a million."
