Currently, we've got several artists, a bit of less of writers and one (1) merch artist. So firstly, if you think you're not worth it: You. Are. So: Apply. Now.

Secondly, regarding writers: don't forget that you have no obligation to make a fic for the zine. The Interest check (whose results I haven't posted yet but it will arrive soon!) shows a clear interest in non-fiction pieces. So if you're on the meta side of our fandom: Apply. Now. !

And actually, same goes for artists: don't limit yourself to whatever you think belong in a zine. Anything belongs in a zine as long as it's made with love!

Please, don't listen to Cardinal Lawrence: don't doubt. Apply.

I've been toying with the idea of a Renaissance Conclave AU (same Vatican, double the nude sculptures!) but it does kind of nerf a lot of the spiritual points of the movie:

Thomas: You talk as if it's a war! Aldo: it is a war. the pope's army is literally attacking ravenna Right Now

Vincent: I felt as if my entire life had been lived in a state of sin Thomas: well the previous pope had at least seven illegitimate children so honestly that's not too bad

Thomas: Let God grant us a pope who sins and asks for forgiveness and carries on. But please God not as much as the Borgias because if another set of pope orgy rumors comes out my heart's gonna give out for real
