3 whole weeks of travel! on tour! feels strange to remove myself from every comfort that helps me create. feels strange to live on basics out of a backpack and hope for the best. i am happy to do all of these things i am happy to return to my routine after, i am happy to have refreshed eyes after all this time instead of being tired of it all

a couple of pages from my concrete diary!!!! from my thesis project. she took a lot of research but i love concrete so so much. on the left a homage to my dead car and san jose cementerio in austin texas, and the right scraps of memories of our pet fish, dragon fly wings, keys, bells, butterflies etc etc

me and the laser cutter are besties i swear. on the left a litho of some pool balls and tested lazering onto concrete!!! on the right i made myself my dream set of dice muah

knits in progress! on the left, one of my firsts focusing on how to hold my hand correctly. spray painted some details on :) on the right is the very beginning of a wall hanging that tells a story of driving through an empty highway in iowa. having fun here

2 months ago i was sick for the third time this winter so i learned how to knit. learning new things is such an important part of my creative process. a new way to process things, makes me explore memories in a way that i couldn't before. this will eventually be patched together to make a blanket, inspired by the texas heat. the borders will read "cowboy on till / you find home". i'll see you in 8 months when i complete it lol

maybe probably my fav piece ever. classic evil is inspired by the powerplant song called classic evil and the top left image is of San Jose Cementerio in Austin. I used to drive by everyday on my way home for 3 months or so and my car was sooo on the fritz but passing by gave me such a sense of confidence that i could make it home and i always did. surrounded in concrete by fragments of memories and sweetness

made a ton of handmade paper all about 4"x5.5" roughly. very awesome to have for one off thoughts when my sketchbook feels daunting. i know a sketchbook is meant for incomplete thoughts but i can't help but see it as a collection, for better of worse!!
