Got yet another compliment from a tutor!
This time it was Brian Jones, apparently in my portfolio lesson my name popped up, saying Iām gonna be one to keep an eye on...in a good way!
Plus, he loves the fact Iāve started my bibliography already.
Made an impression on two tutors now ;)
...I am such a swot.
8 oct 15 - Day off
Iāve started LEP4101 ass1.
Its going well, though Iām writing far too much.
Iām gonna make it a mission to write a section after every lecture, just so itās fresh in my mind.
Iām also gonna keep up to date on tumblr, iāve already looked back on it to remember what happened in lessons, itās such a great tool!
7 Oct 15 - cont...
The final exercise was to split into teams and design a festival. Our idea was party in the pumpkin. I found it difficult to pry ideas out of the shy people to start with, bit once we started having a laugh it was great. My tutor even complimented me as being a good team member. I found the initial idea changed completely from the final idea, Iām a way thatās a good things, it shows the development process.
7 Oct 15 - collaboration
Today weāve done alot of role play. We were given a problem to solve with an outside event and weather, we had to work out how to keep the business going and make sure the event still goes on. We also did smaller things which involved making shapes in groups. Iāve discovered I work well with people who are willing to have a laugh, but not so much with people who are reserved and quiet.

Spent all day talking about not falling asleep, always take notes, and developing confidence skills for presentation. I won a donut for my presentation of York.

Fresher's week
Interesting to say the least! As far as work goes, I got a volunteer job at the rugby club, helping people get in the building and towards tix office. Got a free t shirt and got to watch the game! Enrolment went smoothly, had welcome talks, really its stuff Iāve heard before. Activities on fresherās included: lazertag (awesome!), art gallery (not so awesome), playing Frisbee in the park, lots of drinking at unity hall and a pub crawl. Overall, its been a great week, though fresherās flu might have caught up with me.
