Finally got a logo!! This was one of the road blocks I encountered for the podcast and I’m extremely happy how it turned out! I’ll be using this for the podcast and all the other social pages I have. The Podcast project kinda got put on the back burner given the current state of the world right now. BUT, I’m picking it right up, I figured out a bunch of shit, and should be smooth sailing in the next couple of weeks :D super stoked!!
Quick podcast update!! First episode/intro is recorded and ready to go, the second episode is almost done. As I’m learning all about podcasts, apparently uploading them is more involved than I initially thought. Once I get this all figured out I’ll have these 2 episodes posted!
First episode: introduction, explains what the podcast is all about, the format, goals I have, etc
Second episode: Myths and Misconceptions of Diabetes
I seriously can’t wait to get these on the internet. Rest assured this is not a dead project :)
I hope you don't mind but I have a question about your diabetic podcast. I was a little confused are you gonna do like a voice call with people about some of their diabetic confusions or do we send them in and you'll read it off??? I'd honestly be happy to do either or I think this is a really cool idea!!
hi! eventually i do want to have people on the podcast, not physically but do some sort of audio. Right now i’m taking anything and everything i can get and will read them off. I’m almost done the intro and i have some content to create an episode or 2 so please anything you got send my way :) and thank you so much! I’m happy to finally get this thing going!
I can't find it, but I bent the internet to find you after seeing that post about how you can't believe some people are just healthy on a pic on IG from ages ago, to say that I qualify for it, after years of fitness and social confidence and even some therapy that helped massively, but I also postpone some tasks until I panic and want to hide, I also hate answering the phone sometimes, it's really ok :) I'm a 27yo doctor that deals with people daily but sometimes I wanna go home.. you're ok :)
hi there! yes, i’m mind blown that some people are generally healthy with no chronic illnesses. sadly, that post is why i started using tumblr less and less. a lot of people didn’t understand the point i was trying to make and it blew up my notifications. I have 3 autoimmune diseases and i can’t wrap my head around others living disease free, that’s basically the point I was trying to make but lots of people took it out of context. Anywhoo, thanks for reaching out :)

Omg i didn’t think I’d get the amazing responses that I have already for the podcast!! I plan on recording some episodes this week, and I’m learning podcasts as I go so I’m hoping to have the first episode uploaded by next week! I’ll keep you all posted!
CALLING TYPE 1 DIABETES COMMUNITY
Hey there fellow type 1 diabetics/people with diabetes!! I’m starting a podcast (eek!) and I need your help!
The podcast is going to be called “Confessions of a Diabetic”, fitting, right? I’ve always wanted to start a podcast and what better time than now?? #quarantinelife
I want the podcast to be centered around type 1 diabetes 90% of the time and the other 10% filled with type 2 diabetes, autoimmune diseases, other chronic illnesses etc. My dream is for this to be a conversation style podcast, I don’t want to be talking AT you, but WITH you. In order to kick off the podcast, I need some content for the first few episodes. This is where you come in!
Do you have a diabetes related question you always wanted answered?
Do you have a confession regarding your diabetes?
Are there specific topics you want to talk about and learn about?
Do you have a story related to your type 1?

Hi. This isn't important but I messaged you over a year ago to say that I was freaking out about a surprise endocrinology appointment. I just want to say that I'm doing much better and, today, the endocrinologist chose me to see the new doctor as practice because he's always pleased with my results. I'm strangely honoured!

Hi. I have type 1 diabetes since I'm 13 and I have an anxiety disorder. I'm going to be 18 soon. And life can seem scary I mean I have big dreams but diabetes has make it really difficult to have energy. I'm sad and exhausted almost all the time. And due to the fact that I've been bullied and left behind all my childhood and teenagers years I have social anxiety and poor social skills. If I ever make it big and become who I always wanted to be I'll do a lot of things to help people.
Hey there anon, so sorry i’m just seeing this now :(
My biggest piece of advice is to become friends with your diabetes. i know that sounds hard to do, but even friendships go through rough patches. If you treat diabetes as something that’s part of you and not a separate entity, you’ll feel more whole. Just like you wouldn’t let a friend dictate your life, don’t let diabetes and anxiety dictate your life either. if you have big dreams, pleaseeee don’t let your illnesses stop you. The illnesses are just bumps in the road, not entire road blocks. I feel like i got super preachy haha but you got this!! Don’t lose sight of the big picture. I’m sure you’ll become exactly who you want to be and you’ll do amazing things :)
Note about the bullies: F them. They’ll get what’s coming for them one day. Karma can be one hell of a bitch ;)

I’m deleting the tumblr app (again). I’ve noticed my depression has gotten worse since I started using social media again. No, i’m not saying social media causes depression but my mental health was in a much better state when i wasn’t constantly on tumblr, facebook, instagram, etc etc. With that said, I’ll log in using the desktop version from time to time to check my message and asks and stuff but other than that, I’m pretty much going to be inactive. Thank you for understanding <3
