some hyper famous artists like Van Gogh transcend overratedness and become underrated because they're so normalized. Like I'll look at a van Gogh and I'm like wait this really is amazing you guys don't get it
Shakespeare is like this
Every time I see a Van Gogh that’s not one of his better known pieces it absolutely blows me away
Have you seen this shit my liege? smh unreal
You wouldn’t understand
is now a good time to mention that the woman in the screenshot literally runs rotatingsandwiches.com
Dracula by ARANTZAZU MARTINEZ 64” x 38”/ 162 x 97cm. Oil on linen. John Butler private collection
An academic painter from Vitoria, Spain. Enrolled in the New York Academy of Figurative Art (NYAA) MFA program and graduated in 2002, and then studied at the Water Street Atelier with Jacob Collins.
The technical expertise, the considered compositions, the exceptional treatment of light and the human form are evident and much appreciated in Martinez’s work. It has the ability to recreate a dream world where magic and fantasy are part of reality. The quality of her has been recognised internationally; she has been commissioned by Lucasfilm Ltd. to take part in an international project on Star Wars Visions.

Whenever they gave us one of those "read through ALL the instructions before you begin!" trick assignments in school where the steps lead you on an increasingly ridiculous goose chase until the final one tells you to just put your name on the paper and turn it in without doing anything else, I was always like, "Okay, but what's the point? Surely the REAL world won't be anything like this." And then I grew up and discovered that not only is the real world often exactly like that, some people won't even read the first line of the instructions even if they make perfect sense. And these people are called "co-workers"

having a job is very weird bcos by and large your coworkers will be a variety of ages and you will not all be at the same stage of life. your coworker will be like, well I’m off home to spend time with my husband & child, what are you going to do with your evening? and you’re like, well, I plan on playing Rollercoaster Tycoon for as much as it as possible
And you are older than them
8 hours of decent sleep will have you thinking things like 'i am a beautiful horse and i will never die'
2 hours of bad sleep will have you thinking things like 'i am a stranded whale and i need to be covered in dynamite in an ill-advised attempt to clear the beach'
