So. Yeah.
Unfortunately I'm gonna have to take a small hiatus from this blog. I feel terrible for not posting on here for over a month now. I hate to say it but i thought i was a lot more invested in DEH than i am. I still love the show and it's changed my life. But right now I'm working on another project that means a lot to me. UGHHHH Please ignore the face it’s super gross and weird. But I drew a Connor!!!!! I’m super proud of the body and clothes though.
This past weekend was super busy! Saturday i went out with family to the mall and a few other stores including Barnes and Noble. Which is where i picked up this beauty and also Next to Normal. I'm so excited for both of these reads and hopefully i can get more inspo for connor! Then on Sunday i went to see a local high school production of "High School Musical On Stage". It was an experience. 😁.
I'm sorry I haven't been posting much this week. I promise next week I'll be back in full swing with original posts everyday! Please accept my apology in the form of my favorite drawing of Connor Murphy I've done so far.

I forgot to make a post to go out today so... Have a really bad sketch of Connor!!! This is the first sketch of Connor I drew. I have a ton more so maybe I'll post some others later.

Connor and Music
Connor most definitely had an Artic Monkeys phase.
He doesn't like to admit it but he still listens to them sometimes.
He hates people who only know "Do I Wanna Know?".
He has like 3 different versions of AM and definitely a vinyl copy.
Even though he doesn't have a functional record player.
Not that he doesn't have one.
He has a really old busted up Crosley.
It's from a really sketchy pawn shop but that makes it even more authentic™.
He always says he's gonna fix it.
This makes him feel better for buying so many vinyls.
But now he's totally over that band.
He listens to older rock and alternative music now.
However, he still loves Green Day.
Because "who doesn't love Green Day?"
He prides himself in knowing all of the B-sides and Attic Tracks.
He also has a ton of cassettes.
Like an inhuman amount of cassettes.
When he got his car it didn't play tapes.
So he replaced the radio
And now it does.
Zoe thinks this is the dumbest thing ever.
Especially because she drives Connor's car now too.
"It won't even pick up the radio Connor!"
"Just put in the Smiths and shut up! It's good for you!"

Connor is such an art-kid™
Connor draws all of the time.
He’s not amazing but he’s good.
He doesn’t let people see his drawings most of the time but when he does he always gets complements.
Zoe loves his art.
She often takes the pages he crumples up.
He never draws anything special.
Mostly like his own shoes and flowers he sees.
Sometimes he goes to the park and just draws his surroundings.
He won’t call it art though.

But O H M Y G O D is he an art kid.
Giant oversized sweaters and doodles all over the toes of his shoes.
He keeps all of his favorite art supplies in his satchel.
Like even if he’s not drawing anything at the time.
His favorite oil paints are always there.
One time he just started painting right in the middle of class.
God, did Cynthia laugh when she got that call.

Connor is just so Sweet™??
Like he just lets Zoe braid his hair sometimes??
And when she's feeling particularly artsy she will braid flowers into it also.
Fun fact!! Connor's favorite flowers are Black Eyed Susans.
So whenever he sees them he picks a ton of them.
He always takes such good care of them on the way home
And when he gets there he lays them out ever so delicately on the kitchen counter careful not to damage the petals.
He cuts each stem individually at different lengths so when he puts them in a vase they're interesting.
He only uses the filtered water from the refrigerator because he wants to take really good care of them.
He carries them up to his bedroom where he puts them right under his window.
Zoe thinks this is the softest™ thing her brother has ever done.
Also, he absolutely loves hummingbirds?
He's fascinated by their ability to flap their wings so fast.
He tries to make his own hummingbird feeder with Kool aid and it doesn't go so well.
He ends up staining the counters red because he got a little over zealous while mixing.

I just got done reading Come And Go by @charactershoesfic . Well not "done" but caught up to the most recent chapter. And it's so amazing. I have so many new thoughts and opinions on her characterization of Connor and I would love to discuss them but i don't want to get it mixed up with like *Connor Murphy* ya know? So maybe I'll figure out a way to separate them somehow. Anyway basically just tell me whether or not you want content about Come and Go. AND IF YOU HAVEN'T READ IT YOU DEFINITELY SHOULD.
Connor: I’m giving up alcohol for a month.
Evan: Really?
Connor: Sorry, that came out wrong.
Connor: I’m giving up. Alcohol for a month.
