this video is actually my favorite thing in the entire world and nothing can ever top it.
Imagine your otp
cyberhccd:
“ that’s very interesting. I actually never thought about i that way “
She lingered on the thought for a moment before turning her attention back to the woman.
“ how may I be of your service? ”
‘ yeah - most people don’t. but that’s not why i’m here ’ stepping further into the room, joan offered a curious smile towards the girl while giving a slight nod. ‘ my partner & i tracked you because someone was ..... piggy backing your server, now, since you’re not new at this - we were hoping you’d be able to help us .... find them. ’
ladycolms:
‘ if you’re sure. i do feel bad about it… he was definitely right on my part, and i think i’m just so used to automatic rebuttals in court that i didn’t think before i spoke. ’
she blushed faintly, embarrassed that she’d allowed herself to be goaded–it was one of the things he’d pointed out, and she’d walked right into proving his point.
‘ anyway, you’re not here to chat about that! you wanted to talk about the Vanishers case, correct? they were stealing cargo from shipments, but my associates and i have reason to believe the host- ages they were taking are the true reason for the crimes. it was simply designed to look like the robberies were the point of it, for the most part. ’
‘ well -- it’s not like you’re wrong .... but he’s just not someone you can usually call out on a whim and be spot on ---- it’s complicated. ’ the truth was, joan didn’t find comfort in idle gossip over sherlock. more to him was an understatement, and soon enough -she’d risk breaking previous confidentiality with this stranger, ‘ right - the Vanishers case , sounds like you’re up to your ears with this one ---- so hopefully i’ll be able to give some insight. so ----- i guess we should start with the hostages. do you have files on them? ’
✯ okay, I am here! I am working on drafts! so sorry about the delay cinnamon rolls ✯

“All monsters are human. You’re a monster.”
“You’re all I want! You’re all I have!”
“And you’re a dried up, old hot pocket, but I don’t judge.”
“I’m finding it really hard to look at your face because I really, really want to bash it in.”
“I don’t do liquor.”
“I think I have mommy issues. You know a good therapist?”
“You’re kind of twisted, aren’t you?”
“Do you have any clothes that don’t come from the Gap?”

“Don’t make me drop a house on you.”
“I’m trying very hard not to judge you.”

Sobriety is a fickle thing. It’s never constant – resolve fades and even grows ;; the state of being SOBER changing often. It’s a mindset, mostly, and living with Joan has produced positive results, her presence correlating with his success in remaining drug-free. But Sherlock is an unpredictable man and as much as he likes the idea of control, he doesn’t have it. He couldn’t control the situation with Oscar or Alfredo and it had completely blindsided him, knocking his confidence and reserve. Hearing his father was coming only added stress and her words were the only thing that had elicited a reaction from him in the past two days.
Sherlock looks off to the side, towards her, his anxiety apparent. He hasn’t seen his father in well over four years and he knows what will await him. Nothing pleasant. He feels like a small child again on the cusp of a telling-off, but he’s an ADULT now ;; he can hold his own against his father on a normal day… but this isn’t a normal situation. Trust his father to avoid his son with no interest in his life for years, and the moment he does something he perceives to be WRONG, the man seizes the first opportunity to hop on a flight and tell him off.
❝ Yes. To kick me out. ❞
there was a book’s length of speeches Joan had prepared for this kind of moment yet ---- staring at it face to beaten face, the words had turned to wisps in the wind. Uncertainty lay before both of them - what they had built , what they had destroyed -- and now before her was Sherlock, a man with an addiction .... & she was supposed to help him. Had this been the time for self pitying, she could have done it - but instead she needed to be there for him -- pick up the job that she had come here for some time ago. At least, until the senior Holmes came to kick her to the curb. Sherlock wasn’t wrong - however. His father was flying in to remove his son from the property, cutting him off entirely. That alone would be catastrophic for him & preparations needed to be made for the fight that would ensue ---- or if all else fails, the fallout after the fact. ❝ ----- We will figure something out, Sherlock. We can find you a new sponsor, have Captain Gregson speak on your behalf, you can get past this ❞ The repercussions of cutting Sherlock off -- while on paper, sounded promising - only ever had a negative impact on ... other cases & Joan didn’t want to see the result of that decision.
▊sorry I haven’t been on the past two days, I’ve been feeling pretty shitty. I have a couple of replies in my drafts that are actually half done but I’m not feeling up to it right now. ❤

❛ sure, but you’re probably gonna take one look at this case and have it solved.
he chuckled.
❛ so we’ve had a series of break-ins across the district, at the areas marked on the map. different kind of place every time – the first two times it was small business- es. two convenience stores, a couple of blocks apart. then, it looks like they started getting braver and tar- geted two jewelry stores. we have surveillance from all four places, and it does look like these are the same guys. the first jewelry store they hit, they only took from the safe, but in the second one, they stole merchandise, too. judging by the progression, it’s possible they just escalated naturally, but to make the jump from a conv- enience store to diamonds… i’d bet there’s more of a system to what they’re doing.
she looks at the map -- gaze scouring over each individual marker. immediately shifting into work mode --- a surgical habit, she offers a half smile to the officer. dots - is all they would seem like to the untrained eye, but patterns are all she knew to search for. a glimpse into the mind of a robber she was searching for a common denominator, & it wasn’t long until she found one. ‘ all of these locations are within a block & a half radius of a pawn shop except the first one - your robbers are probably pawning off for quick cash from each previous break in to avoid getting caught. smart ----- but still risky. you should start by gathering up all local pawn shop camera footage ... but to be honest, their next hit is the one you need to worry about. judging from the direction of the targets? i wouldn’t be surprised if they were moving south ---- & that these are just practice runs for something a lot bigger, like a bank. ’
