Will was working on his latest art assignment when he received a call from Max through his dorm’s landline. This wasn’t an unusual occurrence since the old friends had been catching up with each other every two weeks since they moved last summer. What Will didn’t expect was to be pressured into going back to his hometown for spring break.

Will hadn't even noticed Mike approaching until a pair of arms wrapped around his waist, stopping him.
“Did something happen?”
Will stiffen at the contact and gently pulled away. “I need to ask you something.”
Mike stepped back and frowned
“What’s going on, Will?” he pleaded, his voice barely above a whisper.
Will crossed his arms (a habit he picked up from Jonathan.) “I’m going to ask you this once, and I want you to be honest with me.”
“Okay?”
“When were you going to tell me that you dropped out ?”
