So back in 8th grade (not even 2 years ago, this next school year Im becoming a sophomore) I had this boyfriend, right?
Okay, me and said boyfriend have dating for, like, 5-6 months. During the time of this story, I was starting to fall out of love with the guy. Okay.
So, one night me n him are texting eachother and sending snaps on Snapchat. It's going well, yk? Just regular talk at first. That was until he brought up the topic of me sending nude photos of myself to him.
Now, Im not insecure with my body whatsoever. I love how I look. But i am super, super uncomfortable with doing that. So, I politely say no, and he takes it extremely well. We stop talking after a bit, and I go to sleep.
Come the next day, right. Im at school. During my last period, im talking with this girl that was a "friend" of mine. I tell her how im starting to fall out of love with my current boyfriend, and she says smth along the lines of
"Oh yeah, I totally understand." But then, she pulls a "hey, can I tell you something? You have to promise not to get mad."
So. Im thinking, wtf could she possibly say that could get me upset. I haven't done anything incriminating, so there isn't anything wrong. Of course I "promise" not to get mad or whatever, just so she would tell me.
Then, she says something that just makes my heart drop to damn near hell. She says, "I can get why ur getting bored of ur boyfriend, I heard that he asked you for nudes"
Im sorry? I NEVER told ANYONE about that. The conversation me and him had that night was completely private in the dms between me and him. So, I ask her.
"Who did you hear that from?"
"Oh, I cant tell you, they'd get mad." Are you serious?? Like, how the fuck do you know about that PRIVATE conversation me and him had?
To this day, I don't know who told her. The only thing I can assume is that my boyfriend at that time was on a call with some of his friends while he was asking me for pictures, and then she found out from one of his friends. Something like that.
The scariest part of this, is that if I DID send those pictures of myself to him that night, they more than likely would have been leaked. To the whole school.
Everyone would have seen my nudes. Genuinely, there is an alternative universe where I am NOT alive because that happened.
Moral of the story, do not send nudes online, especially if your a child. Idc if you're a teenager, that's even worse. people do not give a single fuck about you until it actually effects them. Your nudes will NOT go away if they're floating around online.
Please be smart. Dont end up as a headline.
This isn't going on my main, as I feel like its not meant for that. I just wanted to talk about this because I've seriously been thinking about it a lot
