WOULD THE PERILS OF SUCH OCCUPATIONS NOT BE AMELIORATED, TO ANY DEGREE, BY THE PROTECTIVE EMBRACE OF A GAMBESON?

The real problem with contemporary Captain Kirk parodies is that they're mostly parodying a specific pop-cultural distortion of the type where an accurate parody of the Kirk who actually appears in the Original Series would be much funnier. Like, come on – an old-school Manly Intellectual™, fashionably sensitive, always ready with a pithy aphorism, weirdly proficient with violence in spite of his professed distaste for it, forever ending up in sexually compromising positions with hot alien babes through absolutely no fault of his own and having to let them down easy because Duty Calls? You can get a lot more mileage out of making fun of that than any number of Zapp Brannigans.
"An accurate Captain Kirk parody would be a xenophobic incel" no, an accurate Captain Kirk parody would be that dude who's super into social justice in a disconcertingly earnest way that you're certain ought to be a red flag, but you can't quite put your finger on why.

>Talking about an analytical framework.
>Ask if their framework is idealist or materialist.
>They don't understand. I pull out a chart explaining what metaphysical idealism and dialectical materialism are.
>They laugh. "It's good theory, ma'am."
>Investigate their analytical framework.
>It's idealist.
i love you trans girl on public transport that i never spoke to but who glanced over a few times at me, noticing the same thing about me as i did about her. i will think of you forever.
I think 'degrowth' as a rhetoric is flawed, because it fails to correspond with the direction that sustainable development must take on the local scale - a massive increase in technological advancement and deployment, such that inefficient techniques forced into continuance by impoverishment can be phased out and overcome. Peasants living alongside a polluted river and subsisting off drought-withered, runoff-poisoned crops do not need 'degrowth', not even upstream - they need agricultural price controls, mechanisation, and advanced scientific institions that can make decontamination and reclamation possible. The vast majority of the world needs (and rightfully expects) their liberation to come with an upsurge of political, economic, technological, and scientific growth. The imperial core, where this rhetoric apparently finds its niche, will not be let off the hook - your automotive plants cannot simply be destroyed, the technology and expertise they sequester would be the lifeblood of millions, if and when they are re-tooled to manufacture tractors and trolleybusses. We must redirect and channel the growth and progress of human society, not attempt to hinder or reverse it - reaction in the strictest sense.
I cannot stand the parodies of modern major general, they're overdone and simply not as good as the original. They've done them about everything, whatever topic, big or small.
And when i notice one of them my eyes will always start to roll.
The diction's always slurry when they rush the complicated words, and adding many fricatives will turn it so cacophonous. The slanted rhymes are silly and they keep just making more and more, please someone stop the parodies of modern major general.
The scanning of the lyrics in the meter is unbearable, they emphazise the syllables in ways that are untenable, in short in matters musical, prosodic and ephemeral, i cannot stand the parodies of modern major general!
you know what ive turned around on google ai search i think it's kind of awesome to make you scroll through the dedicated Lies and Deceivers section to get to your real answers it adds a sort of mythopoetic arc that search engines have traditionally sorely lacked
