“Deal. Should we shake on it?” He joked, a soft chuckle following. Honestly, Dean couldn’t think of a better way to spend the day. Doing anything with Rory was just…better. They could be walking or even just sitting and he’d find it enjoyable. She just brought something out in him, a sense of happiness he didn’t know existed before. “I’ll be your personal quiz assistant, it’s a promise.”

“I have a better idea,” she smiled and went up on her toes for a quick kiss to seal the deal, a blush painting her cheeks as she pulled back and lowered herself down to her regular whole-foot-on-the-ground height. She smiled and took his hand in her, dragging him along towards Luke’s for much needed coffee. 

“And people say the perfect boyfriend doesn’t exist,” she joked, “they’ve clearly never met you.”

“We could always go to Luke’s for coffee and food or if you’re feeling adventurous go see a movie or take a walk?” He suggests, smiling a little in relief as she agrees. Not to mention it’s the perfect day for it considering he didn’t have to work. Why not make a day out of it? “And if you’re really determined on studying I could always help quiz you before I go home.”

“How about a compromise? Coffee, then a walk?” She doesn’t like walking, except with Dean it’s kind of nice. She likes just moving about with him, taking in the peacefulness of Stars Hollow, well as far as Stars Hollow can be called peaceful anyway. She’s pretty sure there’s no wild town hijinks going on right now though.

Am I reading through my blog and smiling at old threads instead of doing anything semi-productive? Absolutely. How else would I be reminded of delightful crack verses as the time @friendtoallpeople and I decided Colin and Paris should have a baby?

A little break never killed anyone.” He replied with a small smile. He knew how important school was to Rory but that didn’t mean he never worried that she was pushing herself too hard. “Besides, I don’t think Harvard is going anywhere in a day.”

Usually she would disagree, maybe even accuse him of not taking her school stuff seriously. She knew that would be unfair though, and he did have a point. She needed a break, and to just take a step back from it all for a moment. 

“You’re right,” she sighed, “Sartre can wait till tomorrow. Do you want to do something?”

Okay, I am calling it a night, but tomorrow I will be here and gushing about Rory, and probably all my other Gilmore Girls muses on their respective blogs. Apparently what it took to get me excited about Rory again was one (1) Dean Forester blog.

"Because-" she stops, making an exasperated gesture with her hands as she realizes she doesn't know what to say. "Because I-" Well, she knows what she should say, what she needs to say, but she can't. The words are right there, but she knows as soon as she says them it all comes tumbling down: The whole Huntzberger dynastic plan will crumble. "I'm just under a lot of stress right now."
