jean is literally not gregor samsa fr. his function in story is to abandon his coworker who is having a suicidal bender, and come back only to berate him because he thinks Harry can't do his job and only comes around begrudgingly if he's convinced he can. gregor samsa is The Metaphor for ableism and work. if Jean was any character he would be Herr Samsa. they literally share the same function in both of their stories. He's straight up the apple thrower. metaphorically he throws apples at Harry. literally what are we doing.

No, if you want to play the Uno reverse card on American media, what you need to do isn't to make up a fake state: you specifically need to wilfully misrepresent southern California.
