Welcome to the CRK University AU masterpost
In this AU every single kingdom cookie is assigned to some type of school. The University students are the main focus of the story but I will make a second book once the first one is out that is entirely focused on the rest of the cookie groups.

Sorry if someone already asked this, but I just found this (I absolutely love this AU btw) was curious about what Alchemist is doing in this AU, is she in the school with Vamp?
I don't think anyone did actually but even if they did I will answer anyway because I cannot remember hah (Also I am happy to hear you like the AU so far!! Thank you for the ask kind anon)
Alchemist actually already graduated in this AU. I made her about 7 years older than Vampire so she is 25 at the beginning of the story.
I don't touch up on her past a lot since she is actively off screen for like 80% of everything but I made up a whole past, present and eventual future for her.
She is trans and aroace, yes i made both of the wine siblings trans no one can stop me /lhj
She graduated a year earlier than normal, at 19 years old and jumped between jobs for experience for a while. She has a carreer in alchemy, she even has her team of researchers that she leads. She has been part of an unnamed association for abour a year now and she is a pretty well respected and recognised alchemist.
Despite everything she has a really good relationship with Vampire. She loves and cares for him a lot, she calls him almost daily to ask about how his new school life is and how he is doing. They do have a bit of a fallout eventually but I won't spoil what happens to cause it since its a pretty major event.
I have some things about their childhood written out but since its pre canon I am not sure if I should include it xd

Will dark cacao be important in the au considering that Choco is one of the mains?
Im noooooot entirely sure how to answer this. Yes? I think? He is already important since he is one of the principals, Choco's dad, an Ancient so like. Yeah but he doesn't have any huge character progression. The Ancients have importance in general but they dont really do too much on screen other than Holly and PV.
Cacao has more screen time in year 4 for reasons i cant discuss because spoilers but he is pretty important yeah

OH MY GOD YES
Friendly reminder that these apply to Crepe in the start of the story unless stated othervise. Strawberry Crepe is the only character who appears in a school story before they come to the university.
I mentioned it on the PV ask but Crepe is the adoptive kid of Pure Vanilla. All of the Ancients take care of them but they live with PV and Black Raisin. They view the other Ancients more like uncles and aunts than parents.
They get along with Custard Junior pretty well. They used to hang out with Clotted Cream when they were a bit younger but then Custard forced him to focus on his studies only and they haven't really seen each other since.
They view Espresso as a brother figure. He helps them a lot with everything, non study things included. Hes usually the first person they tell things to.
They have a hard time making friends due to their age. They dont like big groups but they get lonely sometimes.
They love taking things apart and putting them back together. They took apart so many old radios PV kept.
They really enjoy school. They love studying and learning about things, which can also make making friends harder.
I didn't plan too much development to them since they pretty much figured out who they wanna be pretty early in their life but they play a kinda significant role to some other characters like Espresso, Eclair, Pure Vanilla and a bit more minor role to people like Licorice, Red Velvet, Clotted Cream.
Sadly i cannot say much more about them without spoiling things qwq

THE BOY
I was sure I already talked about him but apparently not?? Wtf?
He has a great relationship with Dark Cacao. They are not super close but Choco knows he is there for him if he needs anything.
He is kinda shy? I cannot find the right word for him actually but he is extremely respectable and polite. He has a hard time making friends because he is too afraid to talk to people and he doesn't really know what he'd say anyway
Despite that he is very affectionate. He mirrors peoples' love languages the best he can, unsure what his own one is
He is close friends with Caramel Arrow and later on manages to become very close with both Crunchy Chip and Purple Yam as well.
He doesn't know too much about magic
He is a natural leader. Whenever someone needs his help he aids them as soon as he can but gets flustered when people call him helpful, insisting that he just does the right thing.
He has his mind set to do the right thing. He is a Neutral Good, people are more important to him than anything else
Despite everything he is unsure who he wants to be. He doesn't want to run Cacao's school once he retired but he feels like he needs to even though Cacao is encouraging him to find his own passions as well
His sword is not cursed here. He got it as a gift from Cacao when he graduated high school and set on becoming a serious warrior. He cherishes it greatly
Dark Choco is one of my favourites in this story. He has lots of character progression (example: his friendship with his roommates developing from tense to brotherly), i may dare to say that he has the second most after Vampire, but I still kept some of his in game stuff.
Despite his sword being uncursed, Choco still has a similar fate to his in game counterpart. How and why he gets where he does? Fuck around and find out /lhj
But yeah I love him. Tragic little cookie.
With school and work rolling around I decided to make my updates on this AU more scheduled
I am the type to post everything as soon as I am done instead of waiting so it's time to break that habit.
I will schedule the uniform posts a few days apart from each other and then I can start on the story which will give me more time to work
I plan on getting chapters out every 2 weeks give or take a couple days. I have around 4 other ongoing things so that seems reasonable schedule vise
So, yeah! The story should start very soon!
I'm curious abt Dark Choco and Madeline's relationship of being in love, like how did they fall in love with each other was it love at first sight or slow burn? Are they both in love with each other but don't know the other is? I want details!!!

I will not tell you everything so I can save some stuff for the actual story but I will give you a lot on these two. I love them so much
Madeleine is the first to fall. It's a few months after he gets rejected by Raspberry so he is still a little cautious about his feelings. They get paired up for a fight simulation and Choco wipes the floor with him because Madeleine got cocky. Instead of being upset, Madeleine is immidiately smitten.
It's just a cruh at first since Madeleine is still hesitant about letting himself fall more for someone new. They get paired up more due to their similar classes and begin developing mutual respect and friendship. I am not sure if you can call it a slow burn but the first time they finally get around to nearly kissing is after 2+ years of them both being in love.
Choco is not sure when he fell for the other, he just noticed one day that he has been thinking more about Madeleine than others, that he wants to spend more time with him, has been wondering how he is. It dawns on him suddenly that oh, fuck, I like him.
Both of them thinks that the other does not like them or when they seem like they may be flirting, it must be a joke. It's not, they are both just very oblivious and in denial. Wildberry and Crunchy Chip are very tired of their obvious pining.
Technically Madeleine makes the first move. They have been flirting without either of them saying it out loud for years and he finally gets the courage to try to become something more than friends with Choco but luck is not on their side and the moment gets interrupted.
The awkward moment when you notice that you forgot to add Gumball Cookie to your plot from day 1

I decided to make this so I can list every single relationship in this story. It may spoil a little bit of the story but it's fine.

Childhood friends with Seaweed and Espresso. He still regularly writes to Seaweed.
His family used to live in the Republic before they moved. One of his uncles still lives there.
He has been passionate about magic since he was a child. He has been learning with Espresso up until he was forced to move and even then he continued his practices alone.
His family owns a carpentry shop. His father used to work in medicine before he got sick and had to stop working. Both his parents want him to work in the family "business", not seeing the point in magic.
As you can see from the subjects post (here) he has been learning light magic, specifically defensive and healing types. He wants to follow in his fathers' footsteps even though they don't support him.
He is extremely jealous of Espresso's talent in magic despite them being close friends. He only views Seaweed as family due to those feelings and only tells her about it.
He likes to dress in dark clothes and look edgy to piss off the Upper Republic snobs. He could dress better if he wanted to.
He has had depression and other issues since he was young due to his family situation. He was only 3 when his father got sick which meant his mother completely relied on him emotionally to be the adult of the house and completely neglected his other needs to help her husband.
Vampire and him keep exchanging clothes due to their similar styles. They like to make no homo jokes when they do it, they find it absolutely hysterical.

He had top surgery at 15 and has been on hormones for a while now but he is very open about being trans.
Hopeless romantic. He falls for both of his crushes in the story the same way which is getting his ass kicked in battle.

Mommy's boy. He adores his family and they adore him.
Went to the same school with Espresso. He is delighted to see him in university!
He can not read maps for the life of him. He gets lost in the Republic sometimes. Someone help this man.
He also can not cook for the life of him. Burns toast consistently.
Punches bigots and people from hate groups. Be transphobic get a broken nose.
Loves bright and hot places. He lays in the sand for hours when he goes to the beach. He is very "heat resistant" as his aunts like to joke about it. He doesn't like darkness but he isn't necessarily afraid of it.
He follows along with whatever his friends do or ask him to do with little to no questions. You wanna sneak out at 2am? Sure, where to? You need me to help you jump the gates? Let me take on my boots. He is the ultimate ride or die friend.
He is good at lying but he doesn't like to do it.
Genuinely believes that the Divine helps all.
He is really bad at actual magic. The only reason he can do light magic at all is because he has been blessed by the Divine. He can't seem to learn any other types of magic for the life of him but he is content with that.
He has schedules and plans for most things. He has a set order of things he does after waking up and before bed, he has a specific workout routine he followed since he was 10 and a specific order he does his homework in.
He is very active and has energy to burn almost constantly. You will catch him moving around or at least fidgeting a bit no matter what he is doing.
The uniform posts are holding me up so much I will likely post the descriptions without any visuals. Do tell me if they are confusing when they come out.

She is the adoptive mother to Onion.
She is getting a higher education to be able to get better jobs in the future.
She is learning healing and protective magic to help onion. She is the one who teaches her magic later on.
Demiromantic and on the acespec
She has the ability to communicate with ghosts and spirits to some extent. No one seem to be able to figure out why.
