I need people to get more insane abotu the babs and charlie dynamic the ghost of Babs mentorship wit Cass and the guiltttttt

no because its actually so sickening. i remember reading the bits in bop with charlie PRIOR to finishing my cass list, so i didnt really have the context of the babs + cass fallout or the cass evil era or anything and i remember being so confused at the way babs is treating charlie.

babs loves cass. thats her little sister, her friend, her student. she teaches her how to speak, how to read, how to write. she answers whatever questions cass has about whatever, she invites her to plays and classes and the movies, and above all, cass is her successor. the girl who she named, both cassandra and batgirl. and in one moment, in a heated situation, babs fucks it alllll up. and nothing is really the same for them again. cass moves to bludhaven. the next time she even wants to talk to babs is just to get information from her regarding shiva, her real mom. and then, from babs point of view at least, cass just.. absolutely flips.

and here comes this new girl, a girl who seems a little bit too much like babs, a past version of herself that had to grow up fast and face the horrors. and shes wearing babs' name. the name shes given up, that she's passed on. and the girl who she gave it to is gone. and a girl babs doesnt know, is wearing it. another girl who should stay far away from this world, because it only brings pain. yet she wont. she comes back under a different name. she sticks around despite the warnings. despite showing her what could happen to her. but she still wants to help. and babs is mean. shes rough with her training. you push her. because maybe she'll see its not the right fit. despite seeing yourself in her, you cant get attached, because something could happen to her, like it did stephanie, like cassandra.

Stephen Guy, the chair of the Durham Miners’ Association, said that when it became apparent Durham Pride was under threat, he took it upon himself to “encourage the trade union movement to step up and do the right thing, and stand shoulder to shoulder with the LGBT+ community […] They not only raised funds for us, but came to our communities, uplifted our spirits when they were down, and showed their solidarity.”
