Hi! I’m… having a bit of a conundrum, involving a possible case of lost media. So I thought I’d reach out to people here to see their thoughts. I’d go somewhere specifically designed for lost media hunting, but TBH I feel a little nervous to. If anyone else wants to bring this to other platforms, feel free but be sure to link me to the conversation so I can read, or perhaps join in if I make a new discovery :D
To get to the point–the Thwarp! games by Teletoon don’t appear to be on Flashpoint, and are also not playable through Wayback. Or posted under their original names on any unshady flash game sites. They have all but disappeared off the face of the internet.
Here are all the images I’ve scraped together.
All these are from thumbnails. In order: Thwarp!: Escape From Gruel School (AKA just Thwarp!) Thwarp!: Pickle Panic (or Thwarp 2), Thwarp! Halloween, Thwarp: Pickle’d Pinball Thwarp! Escape From G.R.U.E.L Mountain, Thwarp! Episode 5: Camp Gruel. Call of Deli thumbnail is just a smaller version of the next image.
Images from Teletoon’s twitter circa 2014–this appears to be around the time ‘call of deli’ was launched judging by tweet contents.
From some person’s pinterest board of games.
A lucky main page got me this!
There are likely more images if you go through Wayback harder than I did, but all the game files seem to have gone poof, which is really the important part
I’ve looked up Thwarp, looked up individual game titles, there are results, but the only ones that even have the potential for gamehood are SHADY and I’m not clicking them. If anybody has more info (or preferably, a source to it that doesn’t look like it’ll give me 423827 viruses) please do message me. I know a lot of this blog is for the ~aesthetics~ but I care deeply about the media I cover. That includes obscure series of flash games like THWARP!
Update! New images have been located. This is just a screenshot since its made of a lotta images, but the link’s bepow to the archive page I got it off. (tumblr wouldnt let me put it in the link thing but its straight from wayback)

Still 0 luck on the game proper. Still trying here.
MAJOR UPDATE. I know this blog is dead, shhhh
I decided to comb through the teletoon site archive some more, and guess what I found through messing with inspect element on the game link.

It brings me to a ruffle extension page when I click, thus this form of link, but it's there. Nothing WORKS, maybe because it needed files only Teletoon had, maybe just Ruffle being Ruffle, but I FOUND it.
Boots up to display this. At least it's honest something is up.
Look at that title screen! It's the next best thing to a functioning video game!
Play freezes it and Instructions leads to a black screen, but high scores gives you a better view of the bg
And here are the credits! I'm just. Overwhelmed. Not a WORKING game, but it's there. It's there and it almost works and just seeing this much is ghhhh giving me feelings
