Been thinking about drawing Gill and Kazarina as this Yuji and Sukuna official art

Kazarina as the one being dipped while Gill holds her (I think Gill doesn't smile as much around Kazarina as she does around him. Condescendingly, of course).

What do you guys think? Should it be the other way around?

#bakugan #Real dude #kinda a miracle in itself that Queen Serena believes in it despite it not helping the Neathians at all #I have a headcanon that the Sacred Orb used to belong to Gundalia originally back when Gundalia and Neathia were one planet and the act #of stealing the Orb was what triggered the planet to split into Gundalia and Neathia with Neathia becoming overgrown with dangerous #plant life while Gundalia slowly descends into a wasteland with its populace moving underground #My personal headcanon is that Neathia stole the Orb for itself as they were less prosperous than the Gundalians at that time #which flipped the original roles as now the Neathians subjected the Gundalians to the same fate they used to share and gained prosperity #at the price of another nation suffering in its stead #which might be why it doesn't respond to the Neathians dying at all but does when a Gundalian dies #as they were the ones to throw things out of balance to begin with #Of course my hc doesn't excuse how horrible in reality the major Twelve Order really are or that attacking Neathia #doesn't fix a thing for them as Barodius nor anyone in his circle has no intention of using the Sacred Orb to fix Gundalia slowly becoming #wasteland. Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who was murdered on the first day of Pride month as well as Indigenous History Month. He died protecting his trans husband. Homophobia and racism aren’t marks of the past, and this is a heart breaking reminder of that.

I love BeatBreak and I don't think they had any malice when doing it, but as an Arab fan I have to say that its very disappointing how both Klay and Granit are obviously meant to be SWANA-coded, but its Klay (the evil one) who has a Turkish last name, was shown in traditional Arabic-looking clothes, living in a building with Arabic-looking architecture and a Digimon partner shaped like a literal Egyptian Pyramid.

While Granit (the good one) is named Luka and both he, his nation and everyone from it are racially ambiguous and there's nothing in-your-face SWANA about them.

Sure it might not be thee worst case of racism in fiction, I'm just mentioning it as an example since I'm currently watching the show and it happened in front of me, but it happens everywhere. SWANA people have been demonized so much in mainstream media to the point where some people aren't aware of their subconscious racism that makes it easier for them to associate Arabic/SWANA aesthetic with evil characters because it feels more "natural" to them, but never ever do the same with non-evil characters who instead are either made to be ambiguous or get associated with different cultures (EX: Vivi from One Piece live-action.)

I know some annoying person will tell me its not that deep, but its little things like these that plant seeds for subconscious racism and makes people think that everything SWANA = evil, because that's all they have been exposed to.
