All Points Project: Instagrammers of New York
Discovery Network’s Seeker Stories has shifted its spotlight onto the movement of urban exploring with its recent mini-documentary, All Points Project: Instagrammers of New York. Filmmaker Jeff Seal focuses on eight New York-based Instagram photographers who partake in the new craze, dangerously scaling Manhattan’s notable landmarks and adventuring into the uncharted depths of the world’s capital, seeking out the city’s secret, and sometimes illegal vistas. The resulting photographs are absolutely breathtaking, capturing rare, solitary and awe-inspiring moments within the country’s most populated city. Watch these daring explorers speak on their expeditions in the video above.

An Upcoming Documentary Captures the Essence of the Bronx in 1979
A new documentary is on the horizons, exploring the year of 1979 within the setting of the Bronx, New York. In a borough that was literally burning, with buildings crumbling, Hip-Hop was burgeoning in a major way. Thanks to the controversial (within Hip-Hop purists and pioneers) hit “Rapper’s Delight” by the Sugarhill Gang, Rap music would go global that very year.
Bronx 79 involves pioneers including DJ Disco Wiz, photographer Joe Conzo, historian/author Jeff Chang, and curator Sara Rosen in a stylized telling of just what made the last year of the 1970s so special in the BX.
The trailer is inspired by many low-budget ’70s films, and seems to capture the vibe of a bygone era in New York City, music, culture, and art:

Senior Citizens playing Grand Theft Auto V and their reactions.
So let me tell you what happened...
Christmas day comes and my little sister wakes up all excited, then my parents wake up, and then my other sister wakes up. Lastly while still laying in my bed I hear footsteps running upstairs, my door opening and my sister jumping in my bed screaming "IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!!! WAKE UP WAKE UP LETS OPEN PRESENTS!!!!"
So we did just that, I got a few awesome presents and so did the rest of my family. After opening our presents every year we get dressed so that we can visit my grandma (G-Ma) and open some more presents from the rest of my family.
We get there and met up with my G-Ma and cousins, eat some left over tamales because as Mexicans we ALWAYS have tamales for Christmas, then finally open up presents.
We all got some more pretty cool presents, especially the kids though. As we finished opening presents I walked into the kitchen to pick up some ads that my dad was looking at. He points at something he wanted and gave me the money to go buy the next day.
Next day comes, I wake up and realize I wouldn't have enough money to buy what my dad wanted so I asked my mom for a couple of dollars just in case because I'm a broke college student right now with absolutely no cash...
I go to the store, buy what I needed to get for my dad and then get home. I walked into my mom's room and handed her the $3 in change that I owed her from what she gave me and then she said,
"Keep it, those $3 will make you rich."
Well, since then I haven't spent those $3.. why haven't I spent it? I'm not really sure you know. Maybe I figure that when I do decide to spend these $3 it will mean something. It will be to buy me something that will change my life.. or obtain a tool that will help me better my craft.. OR maybe I'm meant to keep these $3 to remind myself every day that support comes in different ways; verbal, monetary, or love.. My mom spent a good chunk of change on my family this Christmas and I'm sure she could have used those last $3 she had instead but she decided to give them to me. It's my turn to take those $3 and make something out of it.
You don't have to buy inspiration, go out and look for it because it's always everywhere you least expect it.
Happy Holidays everyone from Copp One to all of you filthy animals!
So yesterday I had the opportunity to meet up with a bunch of local IGers that I've been following for a while at the #LastSecTrailMeet and man am I glad I made it out! It was great hanging out with about 30 other people who have the same passion for art and design as I do. So yeah I meet a few people, not as many as I would have liked to but maybe next time! If you don't already, follow me on Instagram @copponeclothing Ive only posted one photo so far but I'll be putting a few more up soon! For now, Copp One!
With the official trailer already released, HBO has dropped a sneak peek trailer for the upcoming film Banksy Does New York documentary.
Here we see a couple driving down New York City in search of Banksy's recent street art with helpful hints from the internet.
Banksy Does New York will be available via HBO On Demand and HBO GO beginning October 31. Additionally, the documentary will be screened at DOC NYC on November 14, and will air on HBO on November 17.
So I made it out to the WEKFEST pre-meet this weekend and man I've got to tell you, it was CRAZY!!! There was an estimated over 1,100 cars there and twice the amount of people walking around checking out cars and having a good time. It started to get dark so I didn't get to take too many photos but these are a few I was able to get to show just how much fun and how packed it was! Man I definitely can't wait for the next show and maybe then I'll think ahead of time and set up a pop up shop booth!
If you've never been to Wekfest then definitely come out tonight at 6pm at Moon Tower for the pre-meet but if you want to see what the whole car show is REALLY about then swing by tomorrow at the George R Brown Convention Center.
