I Headcannon that Kris named Queen and King on their games with Noelle, āQueenā and āKingā. And that they inherited not being good at naming things from Asgore.
I just LOVE drawing King magnificent and powerful <3 Tbh didn't expect that I'd be able to finish this one. I really loveee the way how it turned out in the end. And ofc can't deny that whole AHTK vibe is here or smth, his character is so much more than just funs and giggles, so much potential is wild ngl-

ā¦I mean, my first thought/theory regarding this bit is that Dess was that 'careless Lightner' who accidently tore King (going off the assumption that she's the Knight and then the thematic parallel of the Knight's attacks on Darkners causing damage to their Light World objects), and I still think that idea holds a lot of water. But.. I was just reminded of thisā¦
ā¦Could it be Kris? I mean, I would think King would recognize them if it were, but he does not comment on their past history together in generalā¦
Maybe the Blue Skin + Kris growing up (+ the lack of 'horns'?) also makes it hard for King to recognize that young child who held and cherished but also tore him? The Blue Skin doesn't seem to put off anyone else that Kris knows, but these are all also folks who still know Kris as a Teen...
I just don't know...
