I believe it should be mandatory to play Life is strange 2, everyone has to understand that message.

fascinated by jeff the killer tbh. everyone in that creepypasta has generic white usamerican names (jeff, keith, barbara, billy, etc.) except for jeff the killer's doe eyed little brother liu. why is he liu. is liu chinese? it's okay if he's chinese. is jeff also chinese? has jeff the killer been chinese this whole time? am I a bad person?
not many people know that sanity and insanity are legal , not psychological, constructs which are assessed in relative proximity to a consensus reality. and even fewer people truly understand the implications of this fact. sanity is, over everything else, the determination that you are entitled to a privileged legal status, one in which your agency is not compromised and in which your consent matters. the mad must be understood as a politically marginalized class because, among other more abstract reasons, our class is constructed explicitly as such by the letter of the law.
it is no coincidence that the rise of Black radicalism in the US in the 1950s was closely followed by an abrupt demographic shift in schizophrenia diagnoses (typically treated with psychiatric incarceration, powerful sedatives, and a variety of experimental surgeries). which had once been a disciplinary label for inadequate white housewives was now assigned to black men whose politics often so happened to draw the wrong attention. but even now, the idea of a psychotic inmate whose conspiracies are proven true is a stock character - a twee bit of comic relief when aliens are afoot or a too-sincere premise of a syfy original - rather than a literal reality suffered by so many (typically multiply oppressed) mad people.

does anybody remember that one clip of arcane animators talking about how there are virtually no perfect circles in the show? the exception being the hextech gemstones. makes me think about how the blowjob brothers are so often framed in the middle of some goddamn circle
no one's mentioned how viktor has his cane here even though he's not even standing and it's jayce's hallucination/fantasy
jayce meant it when he said he loves viktor wholly, not excluding his disabilities, and that he thinks viktor's imperfections are beautiful and admirable
viktor's cane, and therefore his disability, is a part of him and not something even jayce's subconscious could cast aside as he was losing his mind. his high opinion and adoring perception of viktor has always included the parts of him that viktor himself views as flawed and shameful
something about vi never wanting anyone in her life to change. something about jayce not caring at all how much viktor has changed so long as he's alive. something about the way vi associates radical change with death, perceiving jinx's continued existence as a kind of necromantic horrorβthe way jayce would shatter fundamental laws of nature without a second thought in order to give viktor the best chance at survival, in whatever form that may take. transformation as rebirth vs murder, hextech vs shimmer. nature has made us intolerant to change, but fortunately, we have the capacity to change our nature. and then jayce, realizing that he hasn't changed at all, not reallyβthat he is a scientist at heart, and he shouldn't have tried to be anything else. and then vi, realizing she has become someone unrecognizableβnever thought my sister would turn bluebelly. and for both of them, it's too little, too late.

since i've seen people being unaware or uncaring about the catastrophic toll generative ai has on both the environment and the workers behind it here's some information about what that toll is actually like. i'd encourage everyone to read the full articles, but i've highlighted some important parts for convenience
Q&A: Uncovering the labor exploitation that powers AI
Generative AIβs environmental costs are soaring β and mostly secret
How 'modern-day slavery' in the Congo powers the rechargeable battery economy
DO NOT, AND I BEG OF YOU, DO NOT STAY SILENT. ISRAELI HAVE MASSACRED INNOCENT PALESTINIANS IN RAFAH, THEIR SAFE SPACE, THEIR CAMPS WHERE THEY WERE RESIDING. ITS A FUCKING MASSACRE. INNOCENT LIVES HAVE BEEN TAKEN, JUST LIKE THAT. MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN HAVE LOST THEIR LOVED ONES JUST LIKE THAT. AND IF YOURE STILL SILENT, SHAME ON YOU. SERIOUSLY.

thereβs a lack of understanding about the point of life is strange 2
i donβt know if this is an unpopular opinion but it just makes me chuckle a bit when people talk about how much they hate every ending and how there should be an ending where their charges are dropped. like, yes, we all wish sean and daniel couldβve gotten justice like they deserved. but, as a black person playing this game, not once did i ever legitimately expect that to be the outcome.
there isnβt a happily ever after to this story and thatβs quite literally the entire point. the game is about how fucked up the system is against people of color, specifically how it affected mexicans in that point in time with trump being in the picture.
i donβt know, i just find it funny how it truly feels like a lot of white people played this game and were like β:000 what????? you mean sean either ends up in prison for 15 years, dead, or is left to defend himself in another country????? but thatβs SO unfair!β yeah. exactly. glad youβre caught up on what institutional racism is? like idk what to tell you girl
like, please open a news app or something because this shouldnβt be surprising. and the cherry on top is that this rage is generally exclusive to these two fictional characters lmao, cases happen similar to this one irl (without the powers involved obviously) and the same people wonβt blink an eye. go to a protest or call your representatives if youβre so damn mad about the wolf brothers
oh and that gap in my resume is when i was digging my own grave
the dirt under my nails is - yeah. it won't wash out. although that's actually from when i dug myself out again. i suppose success and defeat can look the same in a mirror.
