A Willy Wonka pop-up event in Glasgow had attendees calling the police after they paid £35 and the event didn’t deliver what was promised.

So to sum up:

- there's a catastrophy warning in the south of Berlin that a lioness is roaming free

- people are urged to stay inside and not go out, and some are panicking a little

- there's a huge search involving the police and the fire brigade

- some neighbours hear a lion roaring at night, the police is called

- a bunch of teenagers get told off for running around with a Bluetooth box, playing a video of lion roars

- the lioness turns out to be two enormous wild pigs

Yes, but no, but technically yes.

For the uninitiated: Darren Criss sang Not Alone at Obama’s Second Inauguration Kids Concert.

Which, depending on your interpretation, might not count as it wasn’t the proper inauguration nor the grown-up concert and Not Alone wasn’t originally written for StarKid/AVPM and actually predates StarKid.

But nonetheless, I say it counts, a StarKid sang a StarKid song in front of the president and it’s awesome.

For the StarKid fans that ask “Why are the Homecoming/Reunion videos gone on YouTube?” AKA What’s free and what’s not.

They were taken down, probably at the request of Team StarKid themselves. Someone had posted some clips from StarKid Homecoming on YouTube, a few days after the download was made available. I guess StarKid noticed them and checked for other clips, like the Reunion ones. In the next few days they were all gone.

And essentially, this is a good thing. StarKid doesn’t make (a lot of) money off the musicals, they do make some money on sales of DVD’s and Digital Downloads, like A Very StarKid Reunion or StarKid Homecoming. So they rather not see those things floating around on YouTube, and actively ask people to take these clips down. It has happened before when someone posted excerpts from the Apocalyptour DVD. Those aren’t available anymore too. The same goes for any digital ticket StarKid releases, especially when the musical will be available at a later date for free. Either buy the digital ticket for a small fee, or wait until it’s up for free on YouTube.

Since people are apparently uploading the NPMD digital ticket as bootleg on YouTube, I thought an update to this post is long overdue.

And I’ll reiterate: posting a digital ticket to YouTube while a YouTube release is also coming up, is just a dick move. Not Totally Awesome at all. And even when the content isn’t going to be put on YouTube but is available to buy, then help StarKid out and just buy it without putting things on YouTube. Or don’t, it’s your money. But please don’t go asking to put paid content illegally on YouTube.
