why is the dream thieves so fourth of july themed. the phase fourth/fourth of july appears over 20 times. i had forgotten that not only do we have the infamous 4th party and adams birthday on july 3, the gray man also was given july 4 as his deadline for finding the greywaren. why was this like the center of these characters lives??? did maggie think most high schoolers/hitmen/magical artifact dealers see it as such an important event??? was everyone dressed in those matching family red white and blue outfits? this is how im imagining the cast now

I love Ronan’s arc in the first two books because at the start you think Ronan attempted suicide but then you find out that’s actually a cover story for the fact that he was attacked by a dream creature. And then you find out said creature is called Manifestationofmy Suicidalthoughts.
