Long time no post.

You know what? I'd really like to work on Corpsetalia again. I watched an LP and it got me in the mood to get back into it. Only problem is, still no story/dialogue writer. A couple people said they wanted to, but nothing ever came of it. And since it's not my strong point, not much I can do. I just do the (really basic and beginner-level) programming parts. So if anyone wants to work on this with me, let me know. Responsibilities include being at least semi-familiar with Corpse Party, being able to create original content that veers away from the original story, and writing out the dialogue and cutscenes (with descriptions- example: -England walks to the window here-). I don't even know if people would still want to play it? But if anyone likes writing, it could be fun anyways. -Kia

Hello. When will be the next part aviable?

Hello! We can't say for sure, but it's being worked on.I (Kia) have a full time job doing labour this summer, meaning I'm always really tired! But we haven't given up and it -should- be out by the end of summer. I'm sorry it's taking so long, and there really is no excuse. But we'll continue to work on it, so thanks everyone for your patience!

Hey, everyone, just a small reminder to please check through our FAQ before sending us a question! Sorry it's a bit long, but we get a lot of repeats of the same questions, especially 'When's the next chapter coming out'? We're really sorry for the wait on that one, and we promise we'll tell you and update the page as soon as we settle on even a tentative date. Taka is almost done with school, so maybe we'll have one for you soon (knock on wood)!

So your download page looks like it's full of viruses. There are multiple links. Could you like, put it on a site that doesn't have or look like it has viruses? Or at least make it clear what we're supposed to click? Because if I get a virus on my new computer my mom's going to kill me.

Unfortunately, MediaFire and 2Shared are two of the most common sites for free file-sharing, and there really aren't very many other good options for us that we know of. The multiple download links are something you're just going to have to work around, I'm afraid; we'd have picked a better site if that was feasible for us (and, hey, if anyone has a better solution, please let us know!) They aren't anything to do with us, and they're a necessary evil at this point in time. We don't have any control over what the people who run those sites choose to do with the download pages.

You're right, though, in pointing out that it can be a bit confusing for people not experienced with these sites, and I'll be sure to put this information up on the download page as well. This information goes for any downloads from MediaFire and 2Shared, just so everyone knows!

MediaFire: The correct download button is the green one that is under and slightly to the right of the orange 'GET MEDIAFIRE PRO' button. It's across from the file name and some icons, and surrounded by a black background.

2Shared: The correct download button is the smaller, rectangular one. It's blue, and is the third one on the page; skip the larger, more oval green and blue buttons above it.

Ignore any other download buttons (they all prompt you to download iLivid, which you should never download if you see links for it), and close any extra windows that might pop up when you hit the download button. It might seem like a hassle, but please keep in mind that, if you're not willing to spend money, options are limited and file hosting providers will often do things (popups, ads, iLivid) in order to try and make money.

Oh, gosh, I just realized I haven't updated the downloads page. Chapter One is out, I just haven't put the link up there yet; I'll do so right away! Thank you for reminding me, kitty-luver2!

I'm dying over here, do you have a date in mind for chapter two?

No, there's no set date yet! Publishing this ask in case anyone else is wondering too. I'm in the middle of my final exams at university right now, so I have absolutely no time to work on it at the moment! I finish my exams April 23 though, and that's when I'll be able to work on the game on a daily basis. Which I'm excited for. So near the end of April we'll probably announce a ballpark date (not a set one) for the release. Ideally, I'd want to get two more chapters done and released over summer break, but I'm not completely sure, as it depends on the writers/artists/etc :3

Turning Off Anon

It's a bit difficult to answer certain types of questions on this blog when they're only sent on anon; we really don't want to spam the blog or post spoilery questions, for example. On top of that, we just received a rather rude comment from someone who decided to hide their identity, which I personally would like to stop in its tracks before it begins.

Because of this, Kia and I have talked and decided that we're going to turn off the anonymous feature for asks. We're very sorry to those of you that would prefer to use this feature, but please remember that we won't bite just because we know your real URL. Also, if you send things to us using your URL, you're much more likely to get a reply — even if we can't post it on the blog for various reasons, we'll do our best to get back to you privately!

To the specific anon mentioned earlier, I understand that you are entitled to your own opinion, but if you have an issue with the concept or artwork of the game, we'd prefer it if you framed it constructively. Otherwise, please remember that you don't actually have to play the game if you are annoyed by it; it might be best if you simply ignored us rather than insulting people who have worked quite hard to make something that other people (at least from the comments we've gotten, which I'd like to thank you all for <3) enjoy.

Again, we're very sorry for the inconvenience, but we don't think we'll be turning anonymous asks back on. We don't bite, and we hope that this will make things easier on everyone!

If you want to ask us something spoilery, please come off of anon so that we can answer you privately. It might seem like a bit of an inconvenience for you, and we’re sorry about that, but we’d like to keep as many people unspoiled as possible! Besides, don’t be afraid to come off anon; we don’t bite, promise!)

Sorry, anon, but, well… warning for semi-spoilers, but we’ve already stated on this blog that some characters are going to die, and those deaths will be plot-deaths; in other words, unavoidable.

As for your first question… well, as I’m sure you’ve figured out, I at least am against giving out too many spoilers. I’ll say this: the ‘true’ end is not necessarily a ‘good end’, in that some bad things will still end up happening; the ‘true end’ is more like ‘the best possible ending’. Combine that with the answer up there, and hopefully you’ll see my meaning. Again, sorry for being cryptic, but we try to be as spoiler-free here as possible!

If you’re really stuck as to whether you found the true ending or not, try asking around, or try to get the endings yourself! There are only two ‘real’ (fleshed-out; not instant game overs) endings in this chapter; the other three will instantly kill you (like a certain incident involving a chair).

When is chapter chapter 2 coming?

We just released Chapter 1, not for awhile xD We are busy university/high school students~ It's not going to be till at LEAST May, when I am done the school term. Maybe longer, considering Chapter 2 will be a lot longer xD-Kia

Taka's Return (apologies for TL;DR)

After a long and rather exhausting abrupt and unannounced trip to America (Kia and I are Canadian, eh?) at one of the worst possible times for Corpsetalia, I am happy to announce that I am back! Thank you so much to Chiri for filling in when I had technical issues at home and couldn't finish up on time while I was on the road (stupid technical limitations and lack of wifi and laptop), and for joining up and becoming the fourth member of our little Corpsetalia team!

I'm not actually back yet, unfortunately, but I've temporarily borrowed my parents' laptop in our hotel in order to make this post, and I'll be back for good either late on Friday night or early Saturday evening (lots of driving ahead, what fun :'D).

I'd like to add a few things to Kia's earlier posts; fanart or fanworks can be either posted on your own blogs in the Corpsetalia tag, which we do track, or submitted to the blog via the handy Submit button on that sidebar there. We can't promise to publish everything on this blog, but unless things start getting extremely hectic, the working policy will be to publish at least one fanwork from every person who creates them, along with a referring link to their blog.

Spoilery asks are a bit difficult for us to answer, and technical questions spam the blog, as Kia said; we're not going to give out spoilers either way, but don't be afraid to come off anon! Sometimes we may prefer to answer you privately, whether it be to keep from spamming the blog or to avoid posting an ask that might contain a spoiler for people who haven't played Corpse Party or the latest chapter of Corpsetalia (for example, that ____ dies or _____ does _____). For people who are stuck, feel free to send us a private ask if you want a hint, or try asking others in the community! Some people have already completed the game and gotten the endings from what I've seen, so you might have some luck with posting in the tag or asking around — but please be careful with spoilers! We'd love it if someone decided to take the time to make a walkthrough, but (unless we decide to do so retroactively) we aren't focusing on doing that at the moment.

Finally, apologies that the FAQ page and About page still aren't up; I will get around to making those ASAP. I also apologize for the length of this post... it got a bit away from me, I'm afraid.

I'm sorry if you've already answered this, but I'm having a bit of trouble with downloading the game. The link will only take me to the front page of MediaFire or to my own files (if I'm logged in). Do you know any way around this problem or how to solve it?

Hm, can't help you there. It works fine for everyone else~ Try using the 2shared link to download it maybe?-KiaPS, it's hard for me to answer questions on anon because I have to publish them, and it clutters the blog! If you are having tech issues, please come off anon! I don't bite and I'm happy to help :3

A quick question... Are you planing to do the extra chapters of the game?? I know those show deeper things of the history, and death students story and relationships between the characters, but it would be interesting... [[Also, the first chapter is AWESOME, but I can't get the real ending... but Iknow what I have to do xD GOOD JOB!!]]

Probably not! The extra chapters are really better suited to the original, but people who want to should check them out :3 Maybe we might include a bonus what-the-other-nations-are-doing-without-them, maybe not. We'll see! ((And if you're absolutely stuck later, still, just send another ask and we'll privately explain it :3 ))
