Scrunching her nose up at the man when he revealed his species she responded,”It’s for the best.” She knew something was off, him being a wolf definitely put off her appetite.
“I can see how both can be deterring. I hate both things about the city… but it is home.”

“I believe so. But I’m one of the older ones so my powers are a bit stronger than the others.”

He gave her a skeptical glance and then reached out and very gently put a hand under where her feet dangled. “Still. If.. if you fall. I. Nevermind.” he shook his head, his face turning dark as he laughed with embarrassment.
Figuring the man would be more comfortable with her at a more human size she fluttered back a bit and grew so she was her five foot-five self. Corrigan gave a chuckle,”Better?”
“No… I,” James started, then stopped, scratching his head. “It’s just. You’re… so small. How does the wind not blow you away?”
“I’ve got strong wings. Plus I’m not always this small.” The tiny being scoffed.
