so basically shes an aspiring actress who lives out side of los angeles (bc she broke)

she has a hella rough relationship with her mom who walked out on her & her dad when she was six. but shay has tried to get back in touch with her over the past few yrs without her dad or grandmother knowing

after her mom left her dad worked hiss butt off to get shay a “better life” and set v high expectations of her - he wanted her to be a doctor so after he got her into an in state school in georgia v cheaply she dropped out after a year to move to california & pursue her dreams of acting

her dad after a few yrs finally came around to supporting her n her dreams

even tho it was hard af bc she can barely get a call back so the second the show asked her & her ex to be on she agreed bc she assumes this could be her big break
