             WHATEVER WAS OUT THERE wasn’t only posing as a threat for the new york institute, but for the la one as well. emma and her parabatai would help in any way that they could, but surprisingly --- she was teamed up with the ginger for this mission, while julian stayed back at the institute and reviewed ley lines with alec and magnus. ‘badass is my middle name.’ the blonde flaunted a playful smirk while sheathing cortana. ‘emma carstairs from the la institute.’ she reached out her hand so the other would shake.

             IF ANYONE KNEW what she was going through at that very moment . . it was clary fray. emma hated to show her vulnerable side — only when she was alone or with julian, but right now the female had to be strong for her parabatai, he had just lost his little sister, she lost livvy too. clary knew her well, and emma felt comfortable — comfortable enough to cry hysterically in the redhead’s arms. there were no words . . only uncontrollable sobs, it reminded the blonde of when she had cried in helen’s arms after finding out about the death of her parent’s.
