The polished halls of Star Labs was exactly how Margaery had remembered them. The clicking of heels against marbled floor quickly comes to a STOP as a slender brow raises in response. Dark hues move to scan the room before her, seemingly updated since her last visit. A hand absently moves to rest on the strap of the purse slung over her shoulder as she addressed the man before her. “ Perhaps you should have a SIGN listed somewhere then ? ”

AS MUCH AS HE HATED TO ADMIT IT, the woman was right. they could stand to put a KEEP OUT sign on the entrance. though he thought the fact that a particle accelerator had exploded there would be enough to keep anybody out. but she looked as if she was there for a reason.

“ fair point--- sorry, my name is barry allen ;; can i ask what you’re doing here, miss---? ”

“ i feel like tequila isn’t going to fly— but i’ll ask. ”

BARRY JOKED, calling the pizza place && setting an order. when that was done, he grabbed one of her boxes && opened the lid, finding nothing but shoes. he shook his head and started to unpack them. “ did you bring enough shoes with you, iris? did you even pack anything else? ” he was joking, but to be fair, she had a TON of them. still, he unpacked them.

“ where do you want these? ”

THIS PARTY WAS A GREAT idea. he’d get to spend more time with iris && get to meet more people. he loved that. barry didn’t expect for her to suddenly be annoyed. oh yeah, he’d forgotten about iris’s dislike toward wick. wick was the one who actually gave him the flyer, but he wouldn’t tell her that— he valued his life. but there was a bright side to all of this && barry was all for the bright side of things.

“ well, yeah— he’ll be there, but teddy will be too! && so will raven, i’d bet. teddy has this way of bringing people together ;; i think it’ll still be fun, even if wick is there!—- come on, iris! go with me! ”

he smiled for extra effect, hoping she would still want to go.

CISCO SWORE UP AND DOWN that nobody would be able to just walk into the cortex ;; the security is UPDATED, we’d KNOW when somebody came in the front door----- yet here barry stood, face to face with a stranger. he made a mental note to have cisco double check his flawless security system. his biggest concern was making sure that his suit was not visible. he had a moment to move it && shut down anything that may have given away that he was in fact, THE FLASH.
