I wanted to ask this weeks ago but never had the time to until now (and then your recent mtt post just reminded me lol)
Anyway, since we can assume that mettaton in DR is the quiet neighbour that lives with nabstablook, would LTO mettaton also be in the same state during the fun gang era, or do you have other plans for him?
Have you also considered LTO tenna and mtt meeting each other after the events of chapter 3?

yes after mettaton failed to break out and become a real star he fell off the face of the earth and eventually moved to hometown, probably to live closer to blooky. hes been the resident shut in for years, so long that the kids have probably never seen him before. but maybe they have! whos to say. i think mtt and tenna could very well meet if his agent (kris) set up a meeting. but again who is to say
this failure was also before Spamton ever made it to queens mansion, and Swatch had stashed all of the old glamour and props from the debut tour away in the basement, for sentimental reasons. Spamton never heard of MTT before that and couldnt learn anything about him so he just IMAGINED it was a goldmine and started believing it would bring him success, apart from the success he got from over the phone.
his little shrine in the basement is entirely his own weirdness, but i think the reason he becomes so desperate to get back to it later is because hes losing his mind from the horrors and he makes it into something more than it is. but also he very well could believe that that stuff could be worth some money (it isnt) and thats why he needs to get it. but mostly the first part
