Day 6 : Relationships

These are Dinihari, Kira, Aisyah and Siti. A group of friends with horribly clashed personality but they somehow make it work.

Lets start with the leader, Kira who is bossy and a perfectionist who tend to want to control the group. Aisyah is eccentric and protective that loves to push boundaries with the group. Siti meanwhile is manipulative and scheming that tend to use the group for her own gain. Lastly, we have Dinihari who is the backbone of the entire group that just tries her best to balance it all and play around with them into her own amusement as well

With all these chaotic energy, its a wonder how the friendship still stands but somehow they do. Their main activity is training and getting into dangerous situations to practice their magic. Especially since they are inspired from magical girls but these girls are more ruthless with each other and other people. In this drawing, they are trying to investigate the supernatural

i think MORE characters should be rape survivors. i think more characters should be csa survivors. i think more characters should be dv survivors. i think strong and noble and attractive and charming and brilliant characters with indomitable spirits should be survivors. i think the most powerful characters in the world should be survivors. i think characters who are cultural icons should be survivors. i think victims and survivors should see ourselves in the most admirable and beloved characters around! i think we should be protagonists!!!

#‘it’s so unnecessary’ . okay . god yea this one drives me CRAZY. people will yap all day long about how it's "unnecessary" to make a character a survivor like do you think it was necessary for any of us to be abused or raped irl? was it narratively essential? did it teach the audience an important lesson? why do we, who have to justify our experiences and existences and reactions all the time in real life, also have to justify why we should exist in fiction? people act so repulsed by the thought of us. i've really fully and truly had enough of that. there is nothing so uniquely disgusting or repulsive or unspeakable about our victimhood or our survival that justifies this obsession with keeping the reality of our existence hidden

And just as a note, more for people who would use this as an argument to not write survivors-

You can make a character a survivor and show how it affects them now without making the audience sit through watching the actual traumatic event. If you want to write that, you absolutely can. But it isn’t necessary if you just want to write a character who experienced it in the past. Or even the present.

OC-tober Day 6| Relationships

After scrapping 6 different drawings for this prompt, I tried to take things in a different direction.

For some context: Vexis was originally a highly renowned scholar in his home country. All was going well till he expressed some beliefs about how their wealthy country should reach out and aid some of the other nations to improve the tense atmosphere between them. This one comment got his name slandered, his reputation utterly ruined and eventually exiled from the country for treason.

He never got the chance to say bye to his family before he left and he still wonders how they feel about him after all this. Do they hate him for ruining their family's name and harrassed because of his relation to them? Do they ever miss him? Do they think he's dead? Vexis hasn't heard anything back so all he can do is wonder.

Also in other news Vexis' dnd campaigns finally started and its amazing so far. Can't wait for our next session :))

A bit late but my favourite blorbo of all time deserved a special artwork.

This is my darling boy Corym, a mix between tiefling and fae ancestry. Despite the fact that he's also a spy I've never actually finished designing his spy outfit so for now he just has his mask for fun. Love my silly boy.

Day 1 of bweirdOCtober- new OC! Maverik is one of my newer guys that I play in any kinda farming/life sim-esque game al la Stardew, FoM, and the game where I came up with her whole deal- My time at Sandrock. I also use her as my Cousin character in Scarlet Hollow, which is previously the only setting I've drawn her in.

Her backstory stays the same no matter the game, she had rough time growing up in a family that never had enough to go around and an older brother who would always take more than his fair share. He got her in with the wrong type of people, set her up, and let her take the fall for their shared mistakes. She spent a few years in juvi and is trying to make a new life for herself wherever she's been dropped into.

I'm not sure how often I'll be able to post but I'm trying to do a few of @bweirdart s OCtober prompts to flex my art muscles again.

Here is my latest OC as of now, Vexis! He's a tiefling wizard/artificer multiclass for a new dnd campaign I have starting up.

He's 28 years old, already exhausted and he's been exiled from his home country for treason (my boy has done nothing wrong, free him). Currently he's working as a mercenary, appraising relics from ancient civilizations to see if they're of any use.

Finally getting to play him this week and I'm really excited for it :))
