My light-side SW (redeemed during KOTET) was absolutely devastated at having to choose between the Empire and Republic in Onslaught. Either go to the fascist empire that trapped her in the role of Wrath, or go to the corrupt capitalist system that she's fought against for her entire life. And it's an easy choice! Obviously she's going to support the Republic, but every action she takes against the Empire just feels so wrong. She's seen the atrocities the Republic commits, but she can't countenance working for fascists and risking her autonomy again.

there’s this concept of “aspie supremacy” where autistic people with overall lower support needs dominate conversations of neurodivergence and do not take into consideration that they have privilege over other disabled and neurodivergent people. yes you ARE autistic and no one can tell you otherwise because they are not in your brain but being autistic and having an intellectual disability are two different things.

Mel was nonspeaking, experienced institutionalization, and was a prominent autism rights activist until they died in 2020, from neglect via lack of services. I recommend reading their writings on this.
