I'm honestly fucking incensed that this happened. I'm typing this while on Pearson's wifi so hopefully they see it. The fucking indignity of subjecting innocent people to molestation just to prop up your stupid security theater. I'm going to have nightmares about this and it was all for nothing!

The only thing that stopped me from causing a scene and yelling at the airport cops was the knowledge that, if I did so, I would be treated far less charitably than if I were cis. And the worst part is that I'm one of the lucky ones - this is the first time this has happened to me! I have a strong support system to help me recover from this! I enjoy the immense privilege of being able to walk away from this and move on with my life. It's taking every ounce of will in my body to not intensely hate the people who did this me, from the gormless airport cops to the uncaring industrialists who designed and sold the scanning machine to the feckless politicians who advocated for this stupid charade in the name of public safety. Fuck airport security theater, fuck everyone involved.
