Three things to always do in rich neighborhoods when you're poor:
Thrifting
Yard sale browsing
Dumpster diving
Explanation:
People with a higher amount of disposable income are more likely to get rid of clothes that are still in good condition, while poor people are more likely to wear clothes until they fall apart. Donating old items to thrift stores has exploded in popularity over the past few years. Shopping at thrift stores closer to wealthier areas means you can usually find really good-quality stuff, especially clothing, at a higher rate than shops in poorer areas.
Yard sales in rich areas are almost always either estate sales or hosted by someone who's thinking, "I don't really need the money, I just want to get this stuff out of my house, so I'll take whatever you offer for it." My mom has scored super expensive stuff for like $5 because the seller was more worried about unloading old stuff than making a profit. I've found rare books for fifty cents. It's dope as hell.
Rich people throw out so much shit that's still usable. Furniture, clothing, electronics, even food that's still good and in the packaging. I have scored so much shit that rich people just tossed in the trash. It's great. Shops in rich areas have dumpsters overflowing with high-dollar items. (Disclaimer: dumpster diving can be risky, do it at your own risk, etc., etc.)

Your trans body is gorgeous. Not in spite of transness. Your trans body is gorgeous. Your transness is beautiful. It doesn’t have to be ignored in order to determine your desirability.
hey guys I found this unmarked disk in a cardboard box in my basement and when I put it in my computer it booted up this weird game…kind of creepy but I’m digging the atmosphere. I’ll keep you posted on my playthrough, lets hope I can get these two guys out of this bathroom lmao
(aka: I used a kids’ programming site to make fake footage of a fake Saw point and click adventure game. low quality is for the most part intentional.)

It's not even hidden. People openly admit to this. They've literally said openly "most of the deaths are people with disabilities so we shouldn't care".
"It's just people with pre-existing conditions/co-morbidity" - Yeah, that's some eugenics bullshit right there. Not to mention nihilistic, given what counts as one and how many have them. Dialysis, cancer, autoimmune diseases, asthma, emphysema, obesity, and on and on. I've yet to meet a single person who's said those words who didn't have some kind of "pre-existing condition" or "co-morbidity". More of us are in the eugenicist's discard pile than not in general, let alone when it comes to COVID. Even accounting for a lack of compassion for any other human being, how do so many people miss the fact that their own neck is on the chopping block?
“How do so many people miss the fact that their own neck is on the chopping block?”
How do so many people miss the fact that they are forced to pay for water that is free in nature? How do so many people miss the fact that they pay enormous sums for meds that are made for like 20 cents? How come that the jacket you paid 40 bucks for is one of the 70 pieces produced a day, made by a 7 year old kid in Bangladesh that gets paid a bowl of rice per day? A bowl of rice per 70 jackets that you’d have to pay 2800 bucks?
Capitalism and eugenics go hand in hand.
THE HEAD OF THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL IS NOW SAYING THIS, ON VIDEO, IS A "GOOD THING" - THAT MOST COVID DEATHS ARE NOT "HEALTHY" PEOPLE. 🤬🤬🤬
the human urge to ask the people around you a question you have before googling it
it's about the process of reasoning through a question and connecting with the people around you but it's also about seeing who's right. good sportsmanlike fun.
posters for the saw blood drives, 2004-2017
the saw blood drive began in 2004 as a marketing tool for the first film, but after receiving a significant amount of donations, the crew decided to continue the tradition of giving a pint of blood in exchange for a free ticket to see the new film. lionsgate partnered with the american red cross to help save an estimated 360,000 lives; as of the saw vi campaign in 2009, 120,000 pints of blood have been donated.
in 2017 with the release of jigsaw, the campaign decided to focus on the restrictive nature of blood donation rules for LGBT+ individuals and featured many LGBT+ models as the "saw nurses" of the new campaign. the jigsaw "all types welcome" blood drive encouraged fans of any gender or sexuality to donate blood and fought back against discriminatory practices by the FDA.
Picture this, you're stressed out because Covid and climate change finds you out of a job and now you can't pay for dental work so as you listen to the hold music to the dental clinic to cancel your wisdom teeth surgery you log into tumblr to calm your nerves only to be greeted by a Destiel meme informing you that the word flashing is banned and you realise fellow tumblr users can't use a warning for post that could trigger your epilepsy. Imagine this, you're now afraid and there's nothing you can do, no tag to filter out, no warning to safe you.
the phrase ‘pulsing lights’ has been suggested as a workaround. I know I will be using it. Your safety is important to me.
!!!!! I don't care if you've already rebloged this, reblog again and get the phrase 'pulsing lights' on blast to save an epileptic's life. This is a serious matter and should be brought to staff and apples attention !!!!!
Holy shit guys, I wasn't expecting this to blow up, over 7.5k notes in less than 12hrs. I wish I could've worded it better and not some angry self-indulgent rant when I originally posted it but thankfully I've gotten so many helpful comments/tags from so many users on here.
As frustrating as it is to have to filter out many tags instead of just one or two specific tags, I have been able to find different work arounds from the wonderful ppl who have rebloged my original post. Here are some I've seen meantioned a few times.
Strobe alert
Eye strain
Eyestrain
Strobing lights
Epilepsy warning
Strobe lights
Also, and I haven't really fact check this for obvious reasons, but adding a period (.) at the end off the work "flashing" is a good work around too.
Please do not use 'epilepsy' tag as a warning, for epileptics use that tag to communicate about their own health within the epileptic community.
