it's officially been little over two and half months since i had my uterus deleted pharoh style and god. GOD. what a fucking difference. like yeah i've had bad days where i need a nap or to take it easy or whatever bc i got other shit going on but there has not been a single day in two months that i've been literally stuck in bed/on my couch. not one. i haven't had a single random migraine. i haven't had heartburn. my fatigue is significantly down, my body pain is down, just-- everything is so much better???? everything is so much better.

i can't believe i went through two and a half decades of this bullshit. YEARS. YEARS of feeling like absolute garbage for more than half the month and getting told it was normal. that things were 'fine' and i just needed more ibuprofen.

the issue with growing up in the 2000s and 2010s was like there was this really big push toward "accepting your weirdness" overall but they meant like idk wearing mismatched socks or something not being tangibly beyond the norm in any way shape or form

so many people ive known have pushed themselves to burnout trying to deny their disabled reality, skipping accommodations, skipping rests etc. and the world convinces them that the solution to their burnout is to push even harder. it’s a huge tragedy. i know social pressures make it tough but i want more disabled people to make things easier for themselves where possible, to opt out of things that harm them when possible, to quit while they’re ahead. be that person today! protect yourself where you can! take micro breaks while doing your hobby. get that shower chair. sit to brush your teeth. lie down in the middle of the day, even if only for 5 mins. these things add up and it’s so worth it.
