Hello Mr President and congrats on being the final character sheet of the main four! Em here ends up getting the schematics he needs to escape the curve, and he does! At least, he almost does, but power is scary and being at the top is lonely so why not stay and make the world a better place for others just like you? Does he have the best intentions? Ehh…but for a guy who hates attachments he sure caves for the other three. And who knows, maybe he can convince them to least too one day.
Our presidents lead scientist working closely with Galactic Federation scientist on project to keep them out of the Citadels hair. While she helps work on other multidimensional projects on the side, those schematics won’t research themselves.

Blurb:
"Stop-" Morty was curled in on himself, shoulders hunched and trembling. The boy sobbed into the pillow, hands unconsciously scrambling for purchase yet finding none.
Eve blinked the sleep from his eye and glanced down towards his counterpart. Morty’s face was with flushed from his cries, the hitched breaths and the sharp-edged panic.
"I-it's not real, please-" Morty was babbling, voice muffled into the pillow below. "It's not-" It wasn't surprising to learn the boy was haunted with night-terrors, but Eve's heart cracked all the same.
He reached out to touch his counterparts shoulder. Gently, oh so gently, like he feared Morty would shatter apart from the touch alone.
Morty jerked awake, eyes snapping open in a panicked haze. He shrieked and scrambled backwards on reflex- jumping when his back brushed against the headboard.
"Hey, hey angel-" Eve hadn't even noticed how quickly his voice softened. "You're okay, its fine- you're with me-" Eve watched Morty’s eyes dart over, finally flickering with recognition.
Morty's expression crumpled once his gaze landed on Eve. A broken cry fell from his lips and he moved to bury himself in Eve's shoulder, body trembling with the sobs he was failing to repress. "I-I wanna stay here forever..."
He's happiest with me.
Something sick and soft and yearning twisted together in Eve's chest. He tugged Morty closer, one hand moving to card through the boys curls.

Theres so many things from the S9 premiere that I wanted to expand on!! The scene where rick explains EM to the family, Rick and EMs buisness relationship, the REASON EM is acting like this. (And then making EM and Morty throw down in a ring ofc)
Unrelated, I pulled out some of my old cult research for this. (Especially about cult survivors.)
I do think this fic will be closer to 10-15k words. Im only at 2k words rn, but I also essentially JUST started the writing section. I still have faith it'll be out by like next week though!! I just need to lock in🫶

Other stuff: right now the plan is alternating POV. Starting with Eve (evil morty) then switching to Morty the second half. The goal is to make the fight feel human between both Morties.
So codependency is canon we all know this right. And eve is the worst result of codependency. Gang i am NOT WELL.
Im not writing about the collective. Im already doing a "thing rots out the curve" in my main fic, so im skipping it here.
I will be rewriting parts of the episode (example: diner) but most of it is character study or the fist fight
