AAALSO not to mention that i’ve kinda headcanoned the Church being a mandatory purple thing and a empire funded religion, a way to keep a caste in line completely, especially a caste like the purples as they sure do have some terrifying abilities
ok but the thing is, both Huvixi and his ancestor are slightly separated from the church while still being in it. Huvixi having lived in a small island community, and being the only purple there he convinced himself he would never get the whole experience without other purples around, so he never really indulged in it that much, and when he grew up he was more attracted to the ultraviolence of the subjuggulators than the faith itself. Even when he is very devoted and honestly uses his faith as an excuse for A LOT OF STUFF.
his ancestor, His Guidance is even worse in a sense, as His Guidance has never, and will never believe in any of the clown mumbo jumbo. because of his profession as mostly a guidance councilor for the church ( there to keep the doubtful in line, and give faith back ot the faithless ) he needed to have a foot in reality in a way a lot of others in his caste did not. This makes it worse as he does not believe a thing he spews but he’s been doing his whole stick so long it doesn’t even matter anymore, he’s a internal part.

ᚐᚚᚌ ⊰ Vriska was, once again, where she shouldn’t have been. Treading quite boldly through a purple blood and up stemcluster, in fact. Being cerulean, she was nowhere near permitted to even be within a five mile radius of the Art Deco nightmare that was this ‘city,’ in human terms.
But as a god tier, she realized pretty quickly that, well… she was a goddess. At least, in light terms. Her conditional immortality allowed just that, immortality, but only in the case that she didn’t die in combat, or for a wholly justified reason. The clocks that determined whether or not her death was Just or Heroic didn’t really factor in social classes. So…
Just walking around the stemcluster and suddenly getting hacked in the neck wouldn’t keep her down. It would brand her as a bit stupid and cowardly for not fighting back at all, but she would come back. In the end, her image didn’t matter to her.
The one downside is that it takes a minute or two for her to resurrect. The assailant could easily move her body in the meantime. But that was the only downside she could think of.
So she kept going. Taking in the sights, occasionally making sure her face couldn’t be seen by some snobby Fuchsias, the usual.
some trolls really did have some gall didn’t they . he’s watched the girl walk around like she OWNED the place for a while now , sure she seemed to have the common sense to hide her face somewhat behind a hood but she was careless in her reverie , the CLEARLY CERULEAN makeup flashing every time she so much as smirked
now Ceruleans and anyone under were permitted inside the city if they had someone to accompany them , Huvixi had taken Keiyju to a hate date once before and it was fine as long as he had an eye on her at all times . she’d gotten awfully annoyed by the fact , which to be fair was the dates main purpose anyway , but this one REALLY seemed to have wandered in by herself .
stirring his now cold sweetened caffeine sludge Huvixi honestly felt compelled to go and ask her what the fuck she thought she was doing , not that watching and waiting for her to get culled wasn’t entertaining but she’d avoided being spotted for now and it was starting to irk him .
he ended up downing it , packing the schoolfeed regulated reading into his bag and striding towards the girl . sure she was taller ( which indicated she was older than he initially thought ) but that didn’t deter him .
