one of the most important takeaways i've gotten from this show (from any media, really) is the importance of living in what one of his guests calls "primal moments of reality" (caitlin doughty, ep 7 - really really good one). in the moments that you experience the most intense emotions, moments of immense loss and heartbreak, of birth and death, you can and should do nothing but let them fully wash over you, let yourself be fully immersed in the wrenching reality of that moment, and take them as opportunities to be connected with your deepest most essential being, experiencing the most universal and basic conditions of this world.
