Real Wedding: Wanja & Boni
This was such a happy wedding. Honestly, these are the happiest people I know. Planning this wedding was an absolute pleasure, it was the right and perfect season and I was blessed to work with the best vendors all round.
The venue was perfect and green. The trees made for perfect backdrop.

The one aspect of weddings that really excites me is flowers. I love arranging flowers, they bring me such great joy. Flowers are really the one thing that brings the entire wedding together, to bring out the intended theme.
Bridal bouquets have really evolved, we are no longer just carrying round hand held arrangements, there’s so much more.

Why I Became A Wedding Planner
I will not lie how I loved weddings as a little girl. I might have, I have no idea what I like before I was 20 yrs old. Anyway, I have been creative all my life, this much I know. And as I grew up, I kept trying to create stuff. Some were amazing, some not so much.
After college, I got a job to work for a travel company, and the department I was in, provided transportation for weddings. I would find myself in people's weddings, and boy did they fascinate me! I started getting interested in know the various aspects of a wedding. I have no idea a wedding literary took a village to plan and actualize.
My interest grew, and I started researching what were the different roles one could play in them. I came across wedding planning, a pretty new concept it was in Kenya at the time. I loved it and it loved me back.
I enrolled into a college and did a course in Wedding Planning and floral arrangements. My career begun there and I have never looked back.
Wedding planning has taught me so much about myself, about people and given me skills that I use every day in life even beyond planning weddings.
I became a planner because the first time I tried it, my heart was full. I was really excited and wanted nothing else out of this life. I love it despite the madness, the angry calls and emails, the rainy setup days, the vendors who disappoint and those who don't show up at all. Solving these chaos, brings me joy.
