i wasn't sure whether i was supposed to do one of myself of my arcana oc, so here's both. i did nuntio and me! nuntio looks kinda weird haha

I had no idea this was a thing, but apparently I need it in my life. So I saw some HCs where MC gives the main six tummy raspberries and I thought that I NEED DA FLUFF WITH DA COURTIERS

• they are wholly confused as to why mc is blowing air onto their stomach. especially through that medical uniform, that definitely makes them kind of worried mc's brain has ceased functionality.

• they'll ask and then give mc a big, toothy grin once they understand.

• too bad, no raspberries for valdemar today, they are attacking mc's tummy, now.

• kind of offended initially, but then gets it and lets mc do it again. their tummy makes cute little ripples sometimes and their skin is so soft.

• they laugh and think it's funny, then tries to tickle mc's sides. though, obviously, that doesn't work out all that well.

• so, mc and vulgora will likely be wrestling over each other's bellies.

• oh my gosh he loves it. he is really touch starved, so he just eggs mc on, go ham.

• he's kind of cold to the touch, and bony, but his tummy is still perfect for little kisses and raspberries, don't worry.

• he won't try and give mc raspberries back, unless he's asked to.

• volta's a little body conscious, so mc has to be careful. obviously, she trusts mc nearly as much as she trusts vulgora, though. just tread lightly.

• she'll be all giggly once she feels comfortable, though. she is so tiny, mc can feel little abs when she laughs and it's the cutest.

• she looooves the affection and will definitely reciprocate.

• will stare in disgust at mc for a full minute and a half.

• but just do it again, mc. he enjoys it, he's just not going to show or say it.

• if mc's timing is right, he might be smiling.

What if the courtiers caught a cold and MC was taking care of them?

• firstly, valdemar getting sick at all would probably be very worrying. they don't get sick.

• but in the extremely rare case that they might, they might be dying. or just faking it to get attention from mc. we all hope it's the latter.

• they're grateful for the help, but don't ask for much.

• the most they might ask is that mc take detailed notes regarding the ailment so that it can be prevented, or used as a stand in for the plague.

• they'll just smile tiredly while mc fusses over them.

• THEY WILL NOT LET MC HELP!!! >:((

• (just kidding don't leave them, they'll be sad )':< )

• vulgora won't admit that mc is helping them a lot by just being there. they don't get babied often, so it's a nice change.

• but they'll be pouty throughout their sickness. expect a lot of reluctant grabby hands with those sharp gauntlets.

• they're extra cuddly when they're sick, so mc might end up catching a cold, too.

• he's whiny. like. more whiny than usual.

• he's also indecisive and will be picky about what tea or soup is given to him. he'll say he wants oolong, but then will change his mind to jasmine 0.2 seconds after it is in front of him.

• mc might want to wear ear plugs, he has one of those deafening scream-sneezes that echo through his big house.

• even though he complains a lot, he really does appreciate mc. he'd be lonely if it weren't for that sweet wormheart of his. besides his servants, obviously. but they're not as fun to annoy.

• he'll say that he will do the same for mc, but it never actually plays out the same way.

• she is a nightmare when she's sick. you'd think that this sweet little angel could never be scary.

• she's grumpy and sleeps a lot, waking her up is a death sentence.

• worryingly, volta isn't as ravenously hungry as she usually is. even vulgora is concerned.

• but, her sneezes are cute, she's like a little bunny snuffling.

• when she's better, she'll politely ask for a lot of food, so mc should prepare accordingly.

• he hates being sick, not because it makes his head hurt- the wine does that already- but because he thinks he looks hideous when he's sick.

• it's not that bad.. well, it is. his eyes are bloodshot and sunken in, and he does not want mc to come near him, or see him at all.

• under no circumstances should mc give in to his pleading for alcohol. and he will beg.

• once he's deprived of it, he'll just be miserable and mopey, like a tragic shakespeare character.

• careful, vlastomil likes to take pictures of valerius when he's sick for blackmail.

Hey! Could I get the courtiers with a sassy, sarcastic but secretly affectionate mc? Tyy 💓💓💓

• they kind of ignore mc for a while, not having the time to trouble themselves with the sass and sarcasm.

• after some time of knowing mc, they might start to reflect some of their remarks back at them, just to see what sort of reaction mc might have.

• once they are more used to mc's mannerisms, they will start to catch on that there are more soft qualities beneath the façade.

• they'll start subtly coaxing mc to be less sarcastic, assuming that the sass is a defensive tactic or something.

• but, they definitely do enjoy mc's snarky personality. it intrigues them.

• vulgora is not living for that. not initially, at least. they think it's annoying, and they are easily agitated just by seeing mc.

• but the more they encounter mc, the more they just kind of get used to it.

• then they start catching feelings and get upset when mc isn't around. they're more irritable and find everything boring.

• they don't exactly notice when mc starts being cuddly and affectionate, they're not all that observant; however, they do appreciate it.

• mc should probably get ready for the pontifex to be incredibly protective and rowdy. it's their way of showing love. <3

• oh boy, this guy... he's kind of caught off guard. either people are too scared to sass him, or they don't mean it in an endearing way.

• he knows immediately that mc is feeling some sort of way toward him, he just can't exactly point out what it is right away.

• vlastomil is okay with the sarcasm, but if mc says anything about his little wiggly squigglies, he will not show mercy.

• he's bound to kind of be awkward when mc starts being affectionate, nobody's really like that with him besides his worms.

• but that doesn't mean he doesn't like it.

• volta doesn't mind, she actually thinks the sassiness is kind of funny.

• she's blind to the underlying feelings that mc is emitting, so she's just blissfully unaware.

• she can be surprisingly sassy right back at mc.

• although, she is kind of sensitive, so if a retort is made toward her, there is a 50/50 chance she might start wailing and vulgora will come bounding.

• overall, tread carefully.

• he is very annoyed, claims he hasn't the patience to deal with such atrocious buffoonery on mc's part.

• valerius will take a lot more time to warm up than the other four courtiers.

• he'll be unpleasantly rude to mc, even if nothing is being said to him.

• but underneath the cold exterior, he's got the same mushy, lovey emotions as mc; he hates them.

• when he FINALLY does open up, mc will more than likely be more than surprised.

Hiya! I was wondering if I could request head cannons for what it would be like to be married/ dating the courtiers?

• dating isn't really their style. however, there are exceptions.

• if their implied partner were to fit certain standards, for example, they might allow some thought into a few dates.

• of course, the dates would take place either in the dungeons or in a quiet, unpopulated wooded area, near a pond.

• they'd be more interested in the fauna than in their date, the first few times. but if their partner begins to grow on them, they might lighten up a bit on the expectations.

• they know that their s/o is only human. and they are very protective, distantly, wary of their partner's vulnerability.

• they wouldn't care to tie a knot at any time, but might pretend to humor the idea.

• he is very uptight about it all. if he's asked out, he will say no.

• though, it will be clear that the notion affected him, as he is easily flustered. with a pink face, he'll tell the admirer to leave him alone.

• the key to his heart is consistency and trying again. but don't try too hard.

• eventually he will say yes. go over the top and be extravagant, this man loves a good spoiling. and he will spoil his lover right back. if he's truly fallen for them, that is.

• there are times when it may seem he does not care for his s/o in the slightest, but then there are times when they are the only thing he breathes.

• he's going to be easier to get to love his s/o, but slightly more difficult to take on dates.

• it is easiest to simply stay at his house and garden or read poetry and examine how pregnant some of the worms look. even though they don't.

• when he loves, it is unconditionally.

• if anything bad happens, he'll stay at home worrying and pacing while his servants hunt.

• but if it gets out of hand, he'll go himself. in his true form.

• he is ready to kill.

• THINK OF ALL THE MISCHIEF THEY AND THEIR PARTNER COULD PULL OFF!!

• they're confused at first when asked, but agree, thinking it might be fun. and if it doesn't work out, they'll crush the other's skull.

• they don't really care much to go on dates, but do love a good ole sparring match.

• oh boy are they cuddly and possessive. they're almost reminiscent of golem from the lord of the rings.

• except arguments. and lots of clumsiness and yelling.

• she's a bit hard to even get the attention of. feed her a lot, first. then maybe she'll come around.

• initially, the purpose of a romantic partner is merely to leech off of for sustenance. first priority, obviously.

• she wants cuddles and pastries.

• don't yell at her, she's a little sensitive.

• no, they have not. and they do not plan to.

• however, they do enjoy playing various classic musicals and have mused about their similarities to Hyde and Sweeney Todd.

• he has! he played Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet.

• he would like to play Javert from Les Misèrables.

• he hasn't, but he loves watching plays and reciting every single word of his favorites.

• he doesn't care much for musicals, sadly.

• actually, yes. they played a one of the knights in an adaptation of The Sword in the Stone. they were a extra, basically.

• they liked it and would probably do it again, so long as their identity is concealed.

• she played eurydice in a play adaptation of the story of orpheus and eurydice's greek tragedy.

• she was also Miss Lovett a few times.

Events that left them shook.

• during the good ole plague days, they were laboring over a "patient". quite a tough cookie to crack; the ribs were just not opening up properly. when one finally did snap, it accidentally punctured a lung.

• said patient's time of death was 14:06.

• said patient was also milling about searching for an exit to the laboratory at 14:19.

• let's just say that even valdemar questioned their own sanity for a moment.

• on a late night desperate search for wine after a particularly long day, he ran into mercedes and melchior.

• these dogs. dragged this man.

• he knocked himself out on the trip down the stairs. he was out pretty hard.

• when he finally woke up, he woke on his own bed, a half eaten pomegranate at the foot of it.

• he was just tending his garden like normal, like any other day, collecting the daily tea and things. y'know, just little vlastomil things.

• then, in the corner of his eye, he spotted a strange man, attempting to sneak into the alcove of the garden he keeps his dearly beloved worms.

• the man wasn't doing much other than staring at the worms and mumbling in coherently. in the nude.

• needless to say, vlastomil screeched like a mother worm until one of his many servants dragged the indecent heathen out.

• jokingly, they offered volta a small sparring session. they didn't expect her to agree, but was ecstatic when she agreed.

• they, of course, did not even care to consider that maybe she didn't have as much experience as them, and gave it their all. as always.

• what really surprised them was when volta actually retaliated.

• and royally kicked their butt.

• on april fools one year, vulgora and vlastomil decided to go all out on the prank wars. she fell victim to a few of them.

• one of the worst was at a dinner. we all know that this woman takes her food seriously. no joking around at the table.

• it was a plate full of worms- no not fake ones. they were supposed to be spaghetti noodles, but they were wiggling.

• volta didn't realize this, until she ate a big handful of them and vlastomil screamed bloody murder.

How would the courtiers react to MC revealing they have actual powers (maybe like telekinesis or something like what captain marvel has)

• to say the least, they are confused.

• "how could such an ability be scientifically possible?"

• they muse and fawn over the MC to coax them into the laboratory where they plan several elaborate experiments to figure out how they can do such miraculous things.

• don't expect for MC to get out of this entrapment easily. valdemar is intrigued, and will find out.

• he does not believe MC at all until it is properly proven to him.

• and even then, he's still doubtful and points out things that looked "fake", like the moon landing.

• once he is finally convinced the ability is genuine, he wants to see MC's limits on the power.

• HE IS SO STOKED!!!

• he wants to show MC his wyrm form and gets so excited when they talk about their ability.

• asks the most abstract, random questions ever.

• they laugh when the rumors go around about the MC's super "powers".

• "haha how gullible of those fools!"

• feels called out when MC actually proves their ability.

• she is interested when the ability is brought up, and seeks out MC.

• she'll ask questions while nomming on a biscuit, eagerly listening as they explain.

• gloats about her new powerful friend and clings to MC almost as much as she does to Vulgora.

Which love language (receiving gifts, quality time, words of affirmation, acts of service, and physical touch) do the courtiers speak?

• quality time; they would much rather spend their time with you, doing research or strolling through the city to pick up supplies. they don't like to waste time, so it's best that their partner works their way into their schedule. valdemar won't bend their work to accommodate a lover, on no means.

• words of affirmation; he's prideful, everyone knows it. but there's a difference between being pompous being validated. even the smallest compliments cause him to be flustered.

• acts of service; he will more than likely be the one in affairs with a servant. he's got a busy life, and would be rather grateful for someone that helps him through it without his asking. he will return the favor, and try to figure out how he can help you.

• physical touch; they might not look it, but they are the biggest sucker for snuggles. but not in public!!! no!! they're okay with linking arms (hand holding might be difficult with those gauntlets).

• receiving gifts; this one is pretty self explanatory. aside from the obvious love for food, volta would be so happy if someone were to just drown her in little gifts and tokens. even something so seemingly insignificant as a smoothed stone, or something like a letter or a stuffed animal.

How would the courtiers react to a person who bites their nails really short and bloody? It’s sort of a compulsive action and associated with anxiety.

• they have known about it, seen the irregular shape of the person's nails.

• they are the one to give warning and suggestions as to how the person can wean from nail biting.

• if the person informs them of the anxiety behind it, they will merely smile and give an apathetic pat.

• he finds out about it when the person in question is pouring him a bottle of wine.

• disgusted at first, he grabs their hand and examines the nails, demanding explanation for why they're so short and horribly manicured.

• he'll feel a bit bad for ridiculing when they tell him why they do it. he scoffs in embarrassment and asks about what it is exactly that makes them anxious.

• he's actually very confused. how does this nail biting help with anxiety and stress? gardening and cooing at his beloved babies helps him with things like that.

• trying to be helpful, he will hand around the person and make sure they don't bite while he's around.

• he will do anything to distract them from anxiety, i swear.

• they understand this. why do you think they wear gauntlets? well- besides the whole warrior aesthetic and all.

• they recommend wearing something similar. it helps with anxiety, and makes them look cool and intimidating.

• they're surprisingly empathetic, though they're not the best at consolidation, nor encouraging. their suggestions sound more like commands.

• she honestly probably chews her nails too, though maybe not for the same reasons all the time.

• before her little deal with beelzebub, she knew what it was like to be both starving, and anxious. not only did she chew her nails, but her fingers, and her knuckles.

• she doesn't really know how to help them, barely knows how to help herself.

• she is sweet about it though, giving hugs and letting them know they aren't weird for it.

Courtiers's reaction to mc taking them on a surprise road trip! ^~^

• they don't like this idea, one bit. away from their studies? for what? to be stuffed up in a small portable space?

• MC will have to give ideas and provide reasons for it. saying there will be new specimens they can study might just twist their arm.

• if MC takes them somewhere remote, like a beach with very few people, or a large natural park with loads of wooded area and fields, they'll easily forget their arguments.

• on the way back, they'll thank MC for the opportunity, and suggest they take MC on a road trip sometime in the future for return. be wary about taking them up on that offer, MC.

• he's fairly certain that MC is joking for a moment, giving them quite the unamused face. once he's told they're being serious, he laughs and assures them he will not be going.

• if MC asks Vulgora nicely, they'll drag Valerius along, slinging his protesting body over their back and tossing him into the backseat.

• he'll pout most of the way, but start to warm up once the actual traveling starts. MC might be able to catch him gazing longingly out the window, like he's in some angsty romance film.

• he won't thank MC directly, but will write a long, heartfelt letter that is clearly out of gratitude.

• he's SO excited!! really, MC wants to take him along? can he bring his worms? yes, he's taking them. whether or not he's allowed to.

• he is like a child, i promise. he's pointing at things in the window excitedly, holding up the worms in his hand so they can see all the pretty sights too.

• take him to botanical gardens, and he will owe MC his l i f e. he's a big nature enthusiast.

• he will thank MC so profusely, send them extravagant gifts, offer to take them out, things like that.

• they're skeptical, wondering what's so neat about a road trip. once they're informed, they'll be happy to go along.

• they want to go to places that seem a little shady, pointing to back roads and dark alleys. they call MC a lowly coward when they don't go that way.

• other than that, they're glad to be there, flattered MC asked them to go along.

• they'll thank MC, and will most certainly ask to go again if they have another road trip.

• she agrees, but is anxious about it at first.

• she'll wanna go to the cute lil pastry shops along the road, excitedly pointing and squealing.

• MC will need to keep her well fed or she'll get hangry on the way back.

• snuggles in return for taking her along 🖤
